You will probably want two of which ever you decide on. And then run them on a higher speed than just auto. If one goes in your bedroom you can even set smart schedule to use a lower speed at bed time and then faster later. Either unit should be good tbh as they have pretty similar filtration levels

Winix 5530/5520 are on a pretty good sale and in your price range. But you will probably want to be manually running the unit at speed 2 or 3 to get decent air changes. Auto especially at night falls down to a speed below 1 which doesn’t move much air.

yea the voc sensor winix uses can be pretty sensitive. On my units I like to use manual set speeds especially if they are somewhere that stays darker for more of the day and triggers sleep mode. Sleep mode is great if you are really sensitive to noise and it's in your bed room but it does not move m
