Modern Speakers with a vintage sound?

Classic vintage warmth without being tiring, it’s Wharfedale Linton, and Super Lintons for me all the way.

I've Been wasting my years buying the wrong gears

Welcome to the analog fun times mate. I was similar, although running KT88s, and really it’s the best I've had it. I use to firmly believe you need the highest power you can afford, but now 25W on Triode and 45W on UL is actually more than enough with my Wharfedale Super Lintons. I never even touch

What happened to 3-way non-tower speakers with large woofers?

Wharfedale Linton is exactly what you are describing and is very highly reviewed.

I love my loft apartment but can my system handle it?

I had the same KEF speakers with the exact equivalent Marantz unit. Same Eames chair too 😂. It's the setup. I replaced the fronts with Wharfedale Super Lintons and got the depth I craved. We moved, then I added an Advance Paris A12 Classic and they really shine. I still use the Marantz for TV listen

Modern Speakers with a vintage sound?

KLH Model Five or Wharfedale Linton Heritage most likely the best around for what you're asking for.

Wharfedale build quality

I have the Linton 85s also and the build quality is excellent. My understanding is that while they are made in China, it is in a Wharfedale owned and operated factory. This allows them to have oversight on quality control as opposed to outsourcing a design to an existing chinese factory. Again, this

Wharfdale Linton or Klipsch RP-600MII

Wharfedale all the way . I own the Klipsch RP 600m II and I hated them. Absolutely hated the boosted highs and scooped out mids. No warmth or details. Just screechy highs. I bought the Lintons and I’ve never been happier.

Auditioned the Dali Epikore 11 today. Was impressed, but...

What I have realised, is that higher up the ladder you go, the system becomes more transparent. In my view thats not neccesarily a good rhing. You have to stop at the rung, where music sounds good to you. For me, thats Dali Oberon 5s and Wharfedale Lintons. I have heard far more expensive setups, an
