Modern Speakers with a vintage sound?
Classic vintage warmth without being tiring, it’s Wharfedale Linton, and Super Lintons for me all the way.

I've Been wasting my years buying the wrong gears
Welcome to the analog fun times mate. I was similar, although running KT88s, and really it’s the best I've had it. I use to firmly believe you need the highest power you can afford, but now 25W on Triode and 45W on UL is actually more than enough with my Wharfedale Super Lintons. I never even touch

Wharfdale Linton or Klipsch RP-600MII
Wharfedale all the way . I own the Klipsch RP 600m II and I hated them. Absolutely hated the boosted highs and scooped out mids. No warmth or details. Just screechy highs. I bought the Lintons and I’ve never been happier.

Subwoofer in an Apartment
You are not alone in your dilemma, friend. I use this one and it helps a lot (and also makes it sound better by reducing low frequency waves bouncing off the floor iirc). Apart from that it depends on your apartment building’s quality. It does bleed through the walls a lot of the time but not always

A good night with polar opposites, wine and a view.
To be honest, I both love and hate how revealing these Dunlavys are. On something like the classic example — Led Zeppelin — the clarity is unreal. You really do get that “oh wow… this is probably what Jimmy Page actually heard in the studio” moment. The lows go deep without getting sloppy, even when

Klipsch Forte IV vs Sonus Faber Sonetto V G2
I have recently demoed both! I'm currently shopping for a replacement for my Super Lintons. I listened to the Fortes a couple of weeks ago powered by McIntosh (don't recall the model). I liked the Forte quite a lot but ultimately came away thinking they would not be enough of an upgrade over my Whar

1-1.5k budget for speakers. Pairing with Technics SE-A70 & McIntosh MX-114
Ascilabs c6b, Wharfedale Linton (a little more than $1500 these days, but you could get used or wait for a sale price), Ascend Acoustics Sierra-1 v2. The Wharfedales are a little on the warm side of neutral. The other two are pretty neutral.

Floor Standing Speaker Selection for "Extreme" Music Genres
You are probably going to want something warmer and musical to deal with the poor recordings. I would suggest taking a look at the wharfedale lintons, super lintons and Yamaha as 801 integrated/ nad c 3050/ Rotel a 11, RA 1572, Cables from blue jeans is the most you will need. This is a good place t

Recommendations for Hi-Fi music kit
That turntable may not be the absolute best, but it is criminally underrated for what it is - warm, communicative, fairly detailed and almost unbreakable. For the rest, please look at Hifishark, eBay, Audiogon and the like. For example, you could get a Hegel H190 streaming amplifier for US$2200 righ

what speakers are actually worth it for everyday listening?
Your very right Wharfedale speakers are amazing do sound very warm they play every music well no harshness at all like detenons and Linton's but don't pair it with a warm amp really gets a neutral amp.
