I've Been wasting my years buying the wrong gears
Welcome to the analog fun times mate. I was similar, although running KT88s, and really it’s the best I've had it. I use to firmly believe you need the highest power you can afford, but now 25W on Triode and 45W on UL is actually more than enough with my Wharfedale Super Lintons. I never even touch

Modern Speakers with a vintage sound?
Classic vintage warmth without being tiring, it’s Wharfedale Linton, and Super Lintons for me all the way.

Downsizing apartments in a few weeks, so I'm saying goodbye to my cozy setup :(
Nice set up! Sorry you need to let them go. I’ve had the Heresy’s, Forte’s, and the super lintons. The wharfedales are definitely a different experience compared to the heritage line up. A bit warmer, and can be fuller at louder volumes, but the heritage lineup had the edge at lower listening volume

Help me pick living room speakers - my kids need to feel the music!
I’ve never heard music be more “alive” than from Wharfedale Lintons. They are warm but soooooo listenable. No fatigue whatsoever. I’ve settled on Super Lintons as my next speaker.

Buchardt S400 MK3 vs KEF R3 Meta - help me choose for my NAD C375BEE setup
For that money, I would do something to listen to both, preferably in my room. Reddit opinions are nice, but they won't substitute your experience. What I can tell you for sure is that they're both very nice speakers and you'll likely be happy with both of them. Both of them would need a sub for ele

Wiim (Amp) Ultra with the Wharfdale Super Linton's?
We can do the math right now. The Wharfedale Super Lintons are 4 ohm speakers. Their anechoic sensitivity is 88.2dB at 2.83V (based on EAC's measurements). That translates to 85.2dB at 1 watt for a 4 ohm speaker. This is ignoring the fact that when you move a speaker from an anechoic environment to

Wharfdale Linton or Klipsch RP-600MII
Wharfedale all the way . I own the Klipsch RP 600m II and I hated them. Absolutely hated the boosted highs and scooped out mids. No warmth or details. Just screechy highs. I bought the Lintons and I’ve never been happier.

Subwoofer in an Apartment
You are not alone in your dilemma, friend. I use this one and it helps a lot (and also makes it sound better by reducing low frequency waves bouncing off the floor iirc). Apart from that it depends on your apartment building’s quality. It does bleed through the walls a lot of the time but not always

A good night with polar opposites, wine and a view.
To be honest, I both love and hate how revealing these Dunlavys are. On something like the classic example — Led Zeppelin — the clarity is unreal. You really do get that “oh wow… this is probably what Jimmy Page actually heard in the studio” moment. The lows go deep without getting sloppy, even when

Klipsch Forte IV vs Sonus Faber Sonetto V G2
I have recently demoed both! I'm currently shopping for a replacement for my Super Lintons. I listened to the Fortes a couple of weeks ago powered by McIntosh (don't recall the model). I liked the Forte quite a lot but ultimately came away thinking they would not be enough of an upgrade over my Whar
