Modern Speakers with a vintage sound?
They say the Wharfedale Super Denton sounds old timey, and I sure do want a pair! Hopefully soon.

Deciding between 3 options for a noob TT setup!
I didn't catch the lack of amp - that's my miss! And generally speaking, the speakers are going to give you the most "signature" to your sound. They should be about half of your spend, more if you can afford to budget for it, rough rule of thumb. But yes - with my recommendation you would need an am

Picks for best looking speakers
Side note- looking to upgrade from my KEF LS50 Wireless II to passive speakers, streamer + integrated amp. Need bookshelf or stand mounted speakers. Out of curiosity I listened to Wharfedale Super Dentons… warm as a cozy fall day in front of the fire, but lacking the detail of the KEFs. Then he had

Desktop speaker choice
If this is mostly nearfield / desk listening and you’ve only got 10–20 cm from the rear wall, I’d prioritise controlled bass and good off-axis behaviour over sheer scale. Quick thoughts on your list: KEF LS50 Meta – excellent imaging and midrange, but they’re not ideal that close to a wall without s

I dont know the first thing so any recommendations??
Two Fosi Audio ZA3 integrated amplifiers, one Hiby R4 Digital Audio Player with digital output cable, one gently used Arcam irDAC (original, not irDAC2) and a pair of Wharfedale Super Dentons or Monitor Audio Bronze 100's, depending on whether you want it warm and cozy or toe-tappy and tilted a litt

Good speakers for listening to classical?
I've got a few speakers: Spendor 1/2 Classic and L/S 3/5, Wharfedale Lintons & Denton, and Omega Single driver (dont remember the model name). Then I have Magnepan .7x. The Magnepans are, for me, the best speaker for classical music, especially for quartet to symphonic recordings. You can hear gobbs

I'm looking for a good 300/400 speaker
There's a lot we don't know but if you like a forward, toe-tappy kind of sound, a gently used pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 50 (or Bronze 100, if you can stretch into them), and if you like a warmer, more companionable sound, a gently used pair of Wharfedale Super Dentons. Now I see that your flair i

Please, go easy on me..! Am I an audiophile?!
I used to have a pair of the lovely Wharfedale Denton 2XP in a small office I used, they indeed sounded great and I loved their round and warm sound!

Advice on making a modest splash
That Yamaha looks pretty entry level, I think you'd be far better served by splitting that $2,000 budget between the speakers and a better integrated amplifier like a Yamaha S701 or similar. Regarding the speakers if you are looking for something "warm" sounding and vintage I would look for some ear

Advice on streaming integrated amplifier for Wharfedale Linton speakers
So that budget gives you lots of options. More if you considered used. Wharfedale generally has a warmer sound. Denton 85th Anniversary; Lintons or Linton 85th Anniversary if you have room. Get the stands! You can also t check out Erin’s audio corner.com leaderboard. His reviews are honest, but the
