Paid VPN necessary if you have already set up a WireGuard VPN connection to your router at home?
Not that this answers your question, but I have has no issues connecting and routing my traffic thru my home network via Tailscale on mobile and wifis. I could not get VyprVPN to connect a single time on WiFi with their WireGuard connection
