Professors gave me a nice keyboard. Cleaning people stole it.

(e.g pok3r) Holy shit I still remember my Vortex Pok3r that I ordered with Cherry MX Blue and came with Cherry MX Black (retooled) and basically kickstarted my keyboard hobby (because the Amazon rainbow keycaps were super tight so the G came out with the switch so I had to repair it, and that did it

Love me some muted tones

Honestly its been great! I have been using Vortex keyboards for years. Pok3r and TAB lines specifically. The build process was fun with lots of different configuration options with the 5 foams, different gasket configurations, etc. Big fan so far.

Vortex Pok3r | Not bad for 9 years of daily use

Vortex released a hot-swap 10th anniversary version of the Pok3r in late 2020. Much prefer the standard Pok3r to the 10th anniversary version, despite the availability of hot-swap on the 10th. Vortex pulling back on the U.S. market a bit? I notice the MK dot com site no longer lists Vortex as one of

Fun 60 Ultra TMR with Holy 60

The Fun60 doesn't use the common 60% mounting points, so to use it in a GH60/Pok3r 60% case you would need to remove the stock mounting points and install new ones. For the Holy60 this is going to be particularly hard because it has so little material on the bottom to line up the new mounting points

who should i buy from to start a great custom keyboard?

The Monsgeek M1 family are splendid, as is the MK pro 75 from Microcenter's house brand Inland. The M1 has better stabs, the Inland has a much better gasket mount. I would have said that you can't go wrong with Keychron but I have been seeing reports of abusive customer support lately. The Yunzii AL

60% standard iso layout pcb+plate?

Ranked Nova N60 ISO layout is a surprisingly nice cheap board. There are a number of universal hotswap PCBs with ISO support. YMDK DK61, DKKB DK6064, Y&R 6095. Probably the YMDK is the best option: you can get the DK61 configured for ISO and it will work in any Pok3r-compatible case like the Tofu 60

That case will work with any Pok3r/GH60 board. I recommend the Y&R 6095 or YMDK DK61/YKKB DK6064 (which seem to be different runs of the same design). I have installed a Y&R 6095 into that exact case, but returned it to Amazon because I didn't like the low walls that exposed the switches on the side

No cost limit and I’m building a keyboard around the venom60HE

Get a YMDK walnut or rosewood case. Wood makes for a legitimate percussion instrument. https://ymdkey.com/products/gh60-60-wood-case-gk64-gk61-60-pok3r-dz60-yd60mq-xd64 POM or PC plate. And 1mm O-rings and 8mm-10mm case screws for a burger mount.

Keyboard Customization Help - Neo 80 CU

I would get something cheap to play around with and get an idea for what you want. Apart from specific brands that provide alternate plates and things there's not much mix-and-match capoability except for the specific case of 60% "GH60" or "Pok3r" boards that have a standard tray mount and USB port

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - April 02, 2026

Does anyone currently make a keyboard/pcb with split backspace and split right shift similar to HHKB or Zeal60? Interested in getting something to replace my vortex pok3r to add a little more functionality and coming up empty. Most that I'm finding are from 7+ years ago, can't seem to find anything
