What on earth is this?

Viofo a329 is one of the best on the market and is the same price. Even the a129 or a229 at half the cost is better than the OEM one.

Dashcam for MachE?

I like Viofo (I use both the A229 and A329 in different vehicles) but Rove also makes good ones.

Dashcam recommendations

If your budget allows, I highly recommend the Viofo A329S. If you’re looking to spend a bit less, and practically half the price is the Viofo A229 Pro. It's a solid step down that still delivers excellent video quality and reliability. You can find a few videos on it comparing the two together side

Some tried to steal the car last night - need your advice

Modern thieves just need access to the a headlight's cables to issue a command to unlock the car. Everything is connected like a computer network. A good thief can do it in under 2 minutes and no alarm will go off because the computer accepts the signal as if it was being issued from an authorized f

Potholes and TDOT

I have Viofo A129 pro duos in both my cars and think they're great. There's newer ones for more money, A229 and A329, probably worth it. I can generally read license plates ok, but sometimes the video isn't quite good enough. Here's a good comparison review of many if you want something cheaper.

Driving the wrong way, running a red light, and doing a burnout

I’m running the VIOFO A329S, 3-channel setup. After updating the firmware and switching to a different microSD card, it’s been working perfectly fine for me. I’m not recording in 4K though — I use 1080p at 60 FPS. This is the card I’m using, in case it helps:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084CJJRBW

So we’re doing truck cockpits now? Here’s mine….

Funny enough, that’s where I want to put my Garmin DēzlCam LMTHD GPS/Dashcam, when I upgrade to a Viofo A329 WW 3-ch trucker dashcam. I just wish the SmartNAV screen wasn’t there, and it was just a blank plate instead.

Dash Cams

I’ve tried different dashcams along the way. But honestly. Viofo is the one I always fall back on. Two of my cars have the A229 and one has the A329. The 329 is slightly nicer but a lot pricier. At the end of the day it’s better to have too good of a dashcam and get a plate than a dashcam that isn’t

Any good Dash Cam recommendations?

Definitely worth it to have one, it'll pay for itself if you end up in an accident that wasn't your fault but the third parties insurer try to dispute liability, or if somebody hits your car whilst it's parked and then drives off. Personally recommend Viofo myself. I have an A329 and the quality is

Buy a dashcam

So true. First one I got was in 2016, a Garmin NuviCam LMTHD. I balked at it initially as it was $520. In March 2017, I was reversed into and without the dash cam, my insurance would have gone up a lot more than $500 over the span. Well worth the price at the time. It’s hard driving now without one.
