Accidentally bumped a parked car and left — what actually happens afterwards?

They aren't cheap and aren't 100% perfect, I've got a Viofo A329s but my A129 pro also had a parking mode (didn't catch someone hitting my car). I know Blackvue also have a similar tech but you're looking at over £200 for one

Parking Mode is borderline useless

I've had the A329S for two days, installed the HK6 kit to use Hybrid parking mode today, and can already agree with OP - even just going back to the car with groceries and opening the trunk would trigger impact detection and the footage of myself putting down a huge watermelon in the trunk would be

[Buying Advice] DDPAI Z90 Master vs VIOFO A329S - Parking mode, power drain

You'd need one with a good enough parking mode and probably night vision as well. My Viofo A329s I thought was good enough but didn't pickup a convo right next to the vehicle. So it's better to have CCTV outside of the vehicle.

My parked car got hit twice this year, looking for a dashcam that actually helps in parking mode

I've got a Viofo A329s 3ch cam now with an HK6 hardwire system that supports parking modes. I previously had a Viofo A129pro 2ch again with HK3 and parking mode. Now both of these systems have auto cut-offs for low voltage, this is selectable between 12 and 12.4 volts. I selected 12.2. I get about 2

Just arrived after 8 days of shipping from China!

Other comments appear to have answered your query, ie that HK4 is listed as the standard wiring kit option for Normal Parking mode - but if wanting Hybrid mode, (for cut - off voltage protection) the HK6 kit is needed. The RAV4 Hybrid question? I've just assumed that its lower powered battery favours
