i commute on 280….dashcam reccomendations?
My fiance has a super long commute so she wanted a dashcam. I ended up getting a Viofo A229 Plus for her. I wanted something that had good video quality and also a rear camera. I installed everything myself. Between the instructions and YouTube videos it wasn't too bad. We've had to use it for one a

My first car
VIOFO seems to be top of the market right now. I have an A229+ and it was a breeze to install, works fabulously, and has caught lots of things.

What are you guys using for a dash cam?
Viofo A229. Works a treat, and was fairly easy to install.

Police question
May I recommend the VIOFO A229 Plus Dual Dash Cam Front and Rear. I spent a long time researching and this is the one that kept coming up. Then I watched the price for a long time and the best I saw it at was $159, so $199 now isn’t bad. Super simple to install too. The software isn’t the most intui

“Sorry I couldn’t see it”
Get a Viofo with Sony Starvis sensors, something like the A229 plus or pro. Wiring is super easy to pretty easy depending on what year your MX-5 is. At best you can wire it in to the mirror with an adapter, and at worst you can just the wires in the trim pieces around the windshield down to the fuse

Light mod options for 2026?
The first thing I did was install front and rear dash cams. I have the Viofo A229 Pro with the weather proof exterior camera mounted above my license plate. I specifically wanted the best rear view after a few close calls my first week of driving. Mounting it on my wind screen did not produce the be

Best Dash Cam for Lightning?
I'm running a Viofo A229 with a Dongar adapter to pull power from the rear-view mirror. Doing it that way is much easier than a traditional install but if you're looking for a "parking mode" while the truck is off, you won't be able to just steal power from the mirror.

What dash cam y’all using?
I like my VIOFO A229, wired into the fuse box on passenger side. Pretty straight forward install.

Where to purchase and install car camerA
I have the Viofo for over 5 years and it's still going strong even after our crazy summers. You can install it yourself. Don't forget to buy a MicroSD card as well https://www.amazon.com/VIOFO-A229-Plus-STARVIS-Ultra-Precise/dp/B0CKX14L34/ref=sr_1_3_pp?crid=1QWPSEZINQKIE&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.3IAsiTQQvTvd7

Integrated Dash Camera Follow Up - FitCamX
I went with a dongar adapter for install on my bZ and Viofo a229 pro. I like that system better because you can just swap any usb-c camera in as needed and is still a clean nearly cable free appearance.
