Are dashcams still illegal in Germany?
The video needs to loop for a maximum of 3 minutes to be on the safe side from the mechanics we've spoken too, but ours has a 5 minute and continual recording option too. We ended up getting the Vantrue N4 Pro and it's been a godsend. 3 minute looping, G-force video locking and a privacy mode that d

My boss was in a major accident yesterday.
For a hundred bucks or so, I got a Rove R2-4K. Just does front-facing (they have other models). It's been solid for 6 years, no problems. Last year's research led me to the Vantrue N4 Pro for a new car we got. It has front, rear and cabin cameras and I finally figured out how to turn off the cabin c

The Dashcam trap..
And actually uses it's dual exposure mode to capture plates. Love my vantrue n4 pro but at the time it came out it didn't seem like any other camera actually used this mode correctly. Maybe it's changed.

Quick comparison of my windshield mounted dash cam versus Rivians DriveCam recording (Gen1).
I just thought people might find it interesting to see a side by side comparison of a 4k dashcam versus what Gen1’s DriveCam footage looks like (and also to show off an annoying stop sign runner 😑). Rivian’s DriveCam is actually very wide. Even more of a wide angle view than my dashcam. The main iss

Can somebody help
Uh Oh! Then you couldn’t have done anything. If you’ve got the budget then ensure you get a dashcam with 4k in front. I stretched and got Vantrue N4 Pro but there are cheaper alternatives available around 20k or less as well.

The Dashcam trap..
Vantrue N4 pro S with starvis 2 sensors and simultaneous dual exposure recording is the only camera you should look at if you want readable license plates at night. Go look at YouTube comparisons. It's untouchable in that regard.

[USA] Still can't believe someone drives like this
Ohno... Can't believe how careless people are these days. I’ve got the same vantrue n4 pro, and this is exactly why I think a dashcam is a must

Best 3 channel dash cam?
I’ve been using the Vantrue N4 Pro for a few months now and it’s been solid. Front is 4K, the interior and rear are 1080p. Night vision inside is surprisingly clear. If you’re driving Lyft, having that cabin cam makes a big difference.

Thinking of getting a good dashcam after a recent incident
Multi-channel definitely gives you better coverage, but it really depends on your needs. I’m using the Vantrue N4 Pro S, which is a 3-channel setup, and it pretty much captures everything. The video quality is solid both day and night.

Best 3 channel dash cam?
If you want a true 3 channel dashcam, then I'd say go with the Vantrue N4 if you're on a budget. If you have a higher budget then the latest and greatest are the Vantrue N4 Pro or the A229 Pro. Both are very solid. The Vantrue has better form factor but the A229 has better quality rear cam. These ar
