Top Rated New Steam Deck Games This Week (improved format)
Damn. I tried Subnautica 2 and it ran like total ass on Steam Deck. Stuttery ~20 fps in my base. (Good game tho, just bad performance for now)

Can anyone convince me why I should keep my barely used Steam Deck over just getting the ROG Xbox Ally (X)?
Anything Steam deck LCD does, Xbox Ally (non X) will do much better. But if you don't plan to use it then it doesn't even matter if you upgrade or not.

97% FASTER! Forza Horizon 6 Steam Deck vs Z1 Extreme vs Z2 Go (SteamOS)
I don’t think anyone is questioning these new handhelds performance, it’s just that they’re immensely expensive. A steam deck 2 for me would be this performance but for the same price point as the current steamdeck oled. And im certain thats what Valve is also aiming for.

Should I have just gotten the Steam Deck?
Well, you can’t get the SD right now. No one can, at a reasonable price at least. And who knows when or if it will be back, and I am willing to bet it won’t be for the same price as before. PS, Xbox, Switch.. all got a price increase. Valve is not escaping the AI plague and electronics shortages. It

How will Sony manage to convince people to switch over to ps6 let alone ps7
Steam’s console was never going to be anything but niche even without the ai price increases. It’s going to be unsubsidized and expensive. I don’t know why anyone is expecting it to sell any better than the steam deck. Helix is doa, it’s also going to be unsubsidized and it’s going to be stupidly ex

You can't trust anyone's opinion nowadays
people claim things work good due to sunk cost falacy. they want other people to believe its good to help them justify their purchase. on this game in particular, I saw the devs say its steam verified and bought it. framerate is fine but it looks horrible, like ps2 draw distances. It's certainly pla

Is there going to be a Steam a preload?
I hope it doesn't run at just 10 fps on the steam deck if worse comes to worst, I always have my PC

For those who went with the base variant and then upgraded to the X, how big of a performance upgrade was to you in the games you personally play?
Just to mention it: To me, the bigger Version doesn't equal "more Options", but a longer Lifecycle. Even if your wife doesn't need the power most of the time you can be sure to have your "Return on Invest" lasting way longer. I mean, the Steam Deck i.e. is reaching it's boundaries while XAX's featur

How screwed am I?
A few days ago, I noticed that the back cover was slightly bulging, and yesterday I decided to remove it to check if it was the battery. Unfortunately, it was. When I'm not gaming, I always leave my Steam Deck connected to the dock so it’s always fully charged when I want to use it. Could this have
