Congratulations - even the Pro Version. Great future proof pick! Out of the box my DXP 4800 Plus was very loud when hard disk was working. You can add some rubber (or silicon feet) on the bottom - https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CVHCXYK3 Replace the Fan with a Noctua - https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07655KF5C

I've had it for a couple of months, and I can assure you it has no defects at all. Maybe I would have liked a Thunderbolt port, like on the 6–8 bay PRO models. It is extremely quiet, and the temperatures (I live in Italy) always stay within safe limits, even with Jellyfin transcoding. The fan is qui

The DH is barebones NAS. No native docker (you can install it pretty easily though), limited expansion, and limited hardware. If you want a two bay I’d recommend the DXP2800. Although if you can afford it go for either of the 4800 models. The DXPs have much better hardware and will be able to handle

I’m using Ugreen DXP4800 (non-plus Intel N100 version). I’m running Jellyfin with transcoding without any issues at all on 1080. Haven’t tried 2K or 4K. Adding to that I’m also running a bunch of docker containers using Unraid as an OS. It took a little bit of tinkering to get Jellyfin to use the iG

Honestly, for home use, non-ECC is already more than stable enough for most people. Memory corruption from modern DDR3/DDR4/DDR5 is pretty uncommon in normal consumer workloads. So if this is just a home NAS and you want something from a reputable brand, I’d say the Ugreen DXP4800 Pro is already a p

Made the switch yesterday. Had a DS223j, wanted something that was quicker and could actually do docker / jellyfin. Had an order in for a DS925+ until I saw that it couldn't do hardware transcoding anymore without a modification of the drivers. Decided to cancel that and buy the DXP4800 Pro and so f

I just bought a DXP4800 pro. I had a ReadyNAS 214. I used it basically to house data. Best I could do was ethernet bonding with my router to speed up network transfers. They destroyed it with the last OS. Netgear doesnt have a NAS division anymore. The Dxp is just as yall say. But, after having that

Haha same, my old Synology is still working, maybe it was my mistake of even trying to replace it! FWIW, I actually received an update for my ticket with someone else chiming in that it's not a HDD compatibility issue, and they will investigate further, they will let me know if they have to replace
