Another huge price hike on Nest Aware next month. From $150/yr to $200/yr

Unifi G6 Instant if you want to stay wireless, Unifi G6 Bullet or Turret if going wired. They all have the same 4K sensor and your footage is stored locally and not on anyone's servers. Miles ahead in smart detections using on-device AI. Short video from Ubiquiti for these cameras:https://www.youtub

Ko si omenil/a večsta

Riolink/ what’s the best???

You can get a PoE system and you should absolutely get a PoE system then. There's no reason at all of why getting a Wi-Fi camera system. Wi-Fi camera setups are mostly useless (as you already experienced) and aimed for people that absolutely can't drill holes in their properties (like rentals, apart

G6 Entry Pro - standard height requirement?

I found somewhere on Ubiquiti's site that the mounting height is 48 in to the center of the G6 Pro Entry. Most of mine are mounted between 40 and 50 in to the bottom. Their extremely wide-angle lens, vertical view, allows for height variability. I was worried it would be less forgiving for face ID,

Reolink or Ubiquiti unifi Cameras?

Reolink are meant more to be used in urban areas with tons of lighting at night. This is because Reolink IR night vision models do not have very good performance at night (this might change eventually with a new professional models they might release this year, also Elite xPro beats the G6 180° IMO)

Upgrade from Lorex system

I ran a Lorex system for about 8 years and decided to upgrade last March to their newer NVR and cameras for the better picture and ai detections. Since I was already in the Ubiquiti ecosystem by running their Access Points and UNAS, I decided to buy just two UI cameras just to experiment with since

Simple Home Security/Network Setup

G6 pro is better than the normal G6 bullet/turret and the G6 bullet/turret is better than the one called AI or whatever the name it is. Essentially the G6 models from Ubiquiti are the best by far (and only models worth getting really). As another person said, don't bother with the G6 PTZ, just add 2

What cameras are used for security and obtaining license plates?

for license plates you really need a dedicated camera with optical zoom like the G6 Pro Turret. the standard turret is too wide angle to capture plates clearly from 12ft up. i’d put a pro turret at each corner angled specifically at the street approach for plates, then use a G6 180 lower down around

Security camera question

Get a reolink CX820 and a Reolink NVR. Make sure you have good lighting in the area, though, it is a color night vision camera so it needs that to perform well. That's the only model from Reolink that has proper zone fencing at the moment, and CX models are the best from Reolink, that's why I'm sugg

Quick rant g6 180

for me personally i want it facing out from above my front door as G3 pro reader has poor FOV and no detections etc. i really have no concerns with the view bc i also have a Ai 360 and the ui is flawless so i trust Ubiquiti to have that figured out well. Back to the 180 i only want to run one wire a
