UTR tested
I'm currently in Disney world with my family and I've used the UTR for the kids as they have lots of devices and also for our apple TV. Initial thoughts after 2 nights with it... Range is very limited. We have conjoining rooms and the second one of the kids goes in the next room with their tablet, i

Question about the Travel Router and streaming
Could it work, yes. I have been using the UTR a lot while my wife has been hospitalized / undergoing outpatient treatment over the past couple months, including the last 31 days straight and a 3-night inpatient stay this week. It is good, but I would give you this summary of my experience: - The UTR

What’s the hype on UTR
I have the Glinet Beryl. It is a fantastic device, but it is a bulky device and the interface is somewhat more difficult to deal with in terms of connecting to it. You have to use a browser and type in the admin IP address. The thing that’s great about the UTR is that it’s almost the size of a few c

UniFi Travel router and pfsense hosted WireGuard
I have two UTR’s but my pfsense is not my wg server. Passes through PFSense to the wireguard vm But yes it can connect to any wireguard. My home wifi is all tp-link Omada so this is my only ubiquiti device. Works good I’ve found it to be pretty good. Not as configurable as a GLiNet.

For those of us who travel, a travel router allows us to easily get multiple devices connected to a secure network (you get t

UTR at airport
Yeah. It makes the management of hotel tokens easier and if you travel with any kind of media player (AppleTV, Chromecast, Roku, etc) it makes authentication a non-issue. It can also tether from your iOS/android usb data connection. The UTR works best if you have a Ubiquiti setup at home where you c

UTR is not a replacement for GL.Inet
Thanks for the follow up, it's very useful. I've been using a TP-Link AC750 travel router for several years now in my RV. Its purpose is to cover the baseline needs that the early adopters push: ability to connect multiple devices via WiFi to a single static SSID without presenting each to the core

Travel Router Question
UTR will not connect to your home network unless you activate Teleport or VPN so if you dont, then you your network is limited to within the UTR's noting that UTR will not provide anything else except DHCP. The advantage in using UTR is that upon configuration, you can associated with your gateway h
