Thinking of adding Unifi Protect to my mix of hodgepodge and I need some questions answered.
Yes, you will run out of capacity quickly if not immediately out of the starting gate. Play with the capacity calculator, you'll see what I mean. Yes. UNVR or UNVR-Instant. Likely the former, given your potential for growth/more cameras on the system. Only if you're out of routing horsepower. The cu

Does this cart make sense? Any recs for power supply? (EU)
In general consider: Aftermarket half-size server racks. They can be had for like 150€ on average. It is the most tedious job in the planet to migrate from one rack to a new rack. And you can also run non networking gear if you get full lenght one, so you can put your servers also there. Dont forget

I like the UDM-SE and you sh

That said, those ports are useful for many things, and aren't a horrible place to start out with, if you're spacing out purchases (SE, then switch, say). Low-bandwidth uses for UDM-xxx

RJ45 Plug Recommendation and Datacabinet
Thanks for the details. So I am pretty new to Ubiquiti and I had bought a UDM SE after my connection went tits up and was frustrated with not having a stable connection but it sat in the box for a bit, around 10 months to be precise, along with the UAP-AC-PRO (WiFi 5) which at the time I didn't thin
