Need help - Slow wifi speed Deco x20

Even with 5ghz, it is very hard to reach your max speed when you're already at that level. Anyway, found this reddit post about a similar issue to yours. Check and see if the same applies. If hindi mo masolve, 470mbps is already extremely good for wifi. Kadalasan nagiging OC lang tayo kapag hindi na

Just looking for your two cents on what I purchased..

Hey take my questions worth two grains of salt but have you considered the tp-link deco mesh they are pretty inexpensive compared to orbi imo. And they are interchangeable (e.g. one x20 as the main and 3 s4’s)

WiFi for Detached Garage

A decent mesh with strategically placed access points will probably work just fine here. I like the TP-link Deco X20 if I’m building a non-unifi system.

HomeKit Secure Video wired doorbell

Unfortunately it’s router-specific. My family has a Deco X20 router mesh system that includes a Camera Privacy option which can be customized to only allow LAN networking and block all WAN/Internet connections, which is perfect since HomeKit requires at least LAN connections and uses the Home Hub ha

Deco X20 & security cameras?

What mode do you plan to use the Deco X20 in? Router or AP? Your description would mean using them in AP mode and would work, keeping your existing router as the gateway for the network. Personally I would also run a cable for the camera in the basement rather than using the second ethernet port on

Mejor router o Wifi mesh

Modem and router are in the basement of my 3-story home. I have a Google nest mesh system but still have poor connection in some of the upstairs rooms. Any suggestions or recommendations for different mesh system?

Yep, Wi-Fi access from the basement in a 3-floor house is always tricky. Even with a mesh setup like Google Nest, thick floors and walls can really mess up the signal, especially upstairs. The first thing I’d try is moving your mesh nodes around. Place one on the ground floor and one upstairs, ideal

Deco x50 and x20 are not compatible?

This is strange kind of explanation. Either they do know something we don’t... or I don’t know. First thing first - TP-Link themselves claim any deco is interoperable with any other deco. https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2248/ Then while 5GHz band is indeed split into multiple channels (more o

Finally found a solution to a lot of my Google Home issues, I hope this may help others

I had those same problems with my network of TP Link Deco X20 in mesh. The solution was to pass the Nest speakers to the 2.4GHz network and set the default node to which they must be connected.
