Too many IoT stuff, internet speed is starting to get slow and family won't stop buying random garbage that needs internet.

30 devices is nothing. My entire house has wiz lights. About 51 of them. + 10 more random IOT and then our phones and laptops and TVs (may be ~5 or 6) I am on a crappy TP link archer C6 router. 200mbps ISP speed. I don’t see any lag or buffering while streaming.

Who is waiting to the Steam Frame and who doesnt care?

Kevin refers to a top-notch "bang-for-buck" router that supports WiFi 6E. It's really well priced, but the name comes from that the router looks like Kevin, from the Minions movies LOL. Also to inform others, this is the suggested list of best routers per VirtualDesktop Discord: (Preferred BE/Wifi 7

Got Virtual Desktop and want to look into the dedicated router setup. Am I doing this right?

IF you live in a block of flats.. / condo ... with lot of 5ghz wifi around... yes - your statement about having 6ghz dedicated for headset is correct bcs of interference I live in a house and none of my neighbors are using 5ghz wifi... so there is no interference..And i have set the channels on my d

Which one of these routers for PCVR ?

The ASUS RT-AX58U V2 should do the job nicely. Its AX with 160mhz channel width. Do not get the the TP-Link Archer C6, its a wireless AC router and they sometimes dont play well with newer wifi 6E devices like the Quest 3/Pro, tablets/phones/laptops. I just replaced my home routers from the Archer A

I have an archer C6 (v4.0) what can i do with it?

I agree with u/heysoundude , get rid of the Archer C6! Take it to a recycler. Probably not worth selling, wouldn't get much for it (Archer C5 is selling for about $15 on eBay). After donating/recycling the Archer C6, you could search eBay, Facebook Marketplace etc. for a low-cost older router that i

Will cudy wr 1500 be supported?

I would go for the Cudy because of the warnings on top of https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer_c6_v3, all the Cudys are easy to flash and recover.

Starting to give up on my vr dream

This, 100%. I had issues with my setup when using a dedicated TP Link Archer C6 router wired to my PC. Replaced it with a ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 tri-band 6E router and the difference was night and day, resolved all my issues.

Will ASUS USB-AC58 work for AP

Most routers, AP and modems have different version (v1,v2,v,3,etc.)For example if I buy an TP-Link Archer C6, and got v2 or v3 its ok but if they ship a v4 I can't use it because it doesn't supported. Is there another way of adding WiFi support to my setup? Expect buying an AP
