Too many IoT stuff, internet speed is starting to get slow and family won't stop buying random garbage that needs internet.

30 devices is nothing. My entire house has wiz lights. About 51 of them. + 10 more random IOT and then our phones and laptops and TVs (may be ~5 or 6) I am on a crappy TP link archer C6 router. 200mbps ISP speed. I don’t see any lag or buffering while streaming.

Max wireless bitrate Quest 3 can handle and router selection

500 Mbps is the max. For 150 euros, there's the Davolink Kevin or TP-Link's AXE5400/AXE75. I'm assuming you're using Virtual Desktop. You can join their Discord for further help, but this is what they recommend: "The following routers have been reported to work reliably from a number of users:(Prefe

Which router is better for a dedicated vr router?

The Virtual Desktop team recommend these routers currently (you can get an updated version of this list by using the /routers command in their discord) (Preferred BE/Wifi 7) - TP-Link BE9300/BE550 ($179-$299 US) (Preferred AXE/Wifi 6E) - TP-Link Archer AXE75/AXE5400 (~$190 US) (Preferred AXE/Wifi 6E

Need a router running WiFi-6. Could you help a gal out?

Under $100 is just too cheap. You can get a decent Wi-Fi 5 router in the price range, the Archer C6 is the canonical recommendation in this price range. However, it is obsolete. Even a Wi-Fi 6 router is out of date. You really should get a Wi-Fi 7 router. The least expensive of these can be had for

IF you live in a block of flats.. / condo ... with lot of 5ghz wifi around... yes - your statement about having 6ghz dedicated for headset is correct bcs of interference I live in a house and none of my neighbors are using 5ghz wifi... so there is no interference..And i have set the channels on my d

Who is waiting to the Steam Frame and who doesnt care?

Kevin refers to a top-notch "bang-for-buck" router that supports WiFi 6E. It's really well priced, but the name comes from that the router looks like Kevin, from the Minions movies LOL. Also to inform others, this is the suggested list of best routers per VirtualDesktop Discord: (Preferred BE/Wifi 7

Starting to give up on my vr dream

This, 100%. I had issues with my setup when using a dedicated TP Link Archer C6 router wired to my PC. Replaced it with a ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 tri-band 6E router and the difference was night and day, resolved all my issues.

I bought the Archer C6, but I regret it now; I should have bought the Archer AX12.

I forgot to mention that after turning on the archer c6, it takes 3 minutes and 30 seconds to 4 minutes to provide internet access. It is extremely slow—even slower than older, cheaper 2.4 ghz routers. Furthermore, those older models could reach further than this one can.
