Looking for advice on the best internet/network setup for a 21-seat coworking space

Consumer grade gear is never recommended for a reliable, "set it and forget it" network. As u/heretosayathing mentioned, a consumer-grade access point isn't going to be able to reliably handle networking in a business environment. Do yourself a favor, and invest some $$$ into at least pro-sumer gear

TP-Link boycott

It is not as clear as I would like is to be. I do not think that they locked down fw upgrade too far; it's that they made it hard enough to not be worth it for an average Joe. I used this table to search for ax (short for 802.11ax, aka WiFi6, up to 9.6Gbps transfer speed) within 5GHz models. You can

Camera security options gone?

I’m locked out of Child Protection (thread) on TP-Link WiFi6 router AX5400/AX73. Can’t use it unless I subscribe! I tried flashing OpenWRT on it, but it’s not an option. For now, I changed DNS, but it’s bypassable (i.e. anyone can change DNS on their device), so it’s a bandaid and not a solution. I’

What's your OpenVPN speeds? I'm getting 50Mbps max on a 1Gig uplink to server

Hey, thanks for the wireguard recommendation. Unfortunately the Archer AX73 at remote site doesn’t support wireguard (yet) I believe there’s an update this month where they’re deploying wireguard (can’t find the source I seen this). Would you have a recommendation of a router that natively supports

MyRepublic 10Gbps Renewal – Should I Stay or Switch?

On SingTel 3gbps, it’s the same situation. Video I think it might be throttling somewhere (not sure who isp or site server) cause whenever I swap to mobile data, video load smoothly. Speedtest not much diff from usual. Smart devices, I m suspecting it’s tp link, a lot of smart features are not reall

OpenVPN stuck on connecting loop after updating firmware to ArcherAX73 V2 1.3.1 Build 20260430 rel.48448(4555)

Thanks for confirming. That makes me think this may be a wider firmware regression rather than an isolated OpenVPN issue. In my case, OpenVPN client connections worked perfectly before 1.3.1 Build 20260430 rel.48448(4555), but now every profile gets stuck on “Connecting”. I’ve tested the same .ovpn
