TP-Link boycott

It is not as clear as I would like is to be. I do not think that they locked down fw upgrade too far; it's that they made it hard enough to not be worth it for an average Joe. I used this table to search for ax (short for 802.11ax, aka WiFi6, up to 9.6Gbps transfer speed) within 5GHz models. You can

Camera security options gone?

I’m locked out of Child Protection (thread) on TP-Link WiFi6 router AX5400/AX73. Can’t use it unless I subscribe! I tried flashing OpenWRT on it, but it’s not an option. For now, I changed DNS, but it’s bypassable (i.e. anyone can change DNS on their device), so it’s a bandaid and not a solution. I’

Always on VPN for home network; worth speed penalty?

I have a TP-Link Archer AX73 AX5400Mbps. Internet speed is 1000Mbps, but with VPN it throteles to 300Mbps. I setup the VPN on router so I can cover the entire network, but the internet is very slow.

What's your OpenVPN speeds? I'm getting 50Mbps max on a 1Gig uplink to server

Hey, thanks for the wireguard recommendation. Unfortunately the Archer AX73 at remote site doesn’t support wireguard (yet) I believe there’s an update this month where they’re deploying wireguard (can’t find the source I seen this). Would you have a recommendation of a router that natively supports

Current router is Ax3000, are there anything better for a 3500sq property?

Kinda surprise that model can cover 3500 sq. ft., I previously tried the TP-Link Archer AX73 and it couldn't even cover my old townhouse at 2000 sq. ft. well with some dead spots, ended up refunding it and getting a mesh unit. Anyways, which BE9300 unit are you comparing your Archer AX3000 with. I'm

Why do TP-Link get a hard time from people, and routers made by Asus are often praised....

All TP-Link i have stopped receiving updates in the first 2 years since I bought them. And I have quite new ones like Archer AX73. I suspect they do everything in their power to let your router opened to Chinese state hackers simply by not providing updates anymore as soon as possible and hiding thi
