TP-Link boycott

It is not as clear as I would like is to be. I do not think that they locked down fw upgrade too far; it's that they made it hard enough to not be worth it for an average Joe. TP-Link Wi-Fi 7 router under $250 - is 10G port worth it for 500 Mbps internet?

Fair point, I think 2.5G is enough. I thought 10G port may reduce latency. Currently I see high latency in wifi 6 TP link archer AX73 as compared to when using it with LAN. Lan gives under 50ms ping but WiFi shows around 150ms ping. Will Wifi 7 and 6 GHz able to resolve that?

New install - I don't want their router

Huh… I’m on the same boat, installing FIOS 500 and thinking of using an Archer AX73. I already have it installed, and have TP-Link extenders. Now wondering if that router will be one of the fiber problem routers. ☹️
