Is the BGW320 terrible?
Not meant to sound rhetorical. I got my fiber hooked up, and even got two "smart extenders" (4971s) but I still can't get enough speed in the back of my house (1742 sq ft) to take a steady Zoom call. That can't be expected right?

ISO Good Router for Range + Low Latency

Not to long ago I made a post looking for a good modem+router combo that was Xfinity compatible. I got some really good feedback and ended up getting a separate modem and mesh system instead.
