I'm thinking of buying my own router for my apartment, do I need to buy security along with it?
Nah dude, you don’t need to waste money on one of those “network security plans.” Most consumer routers are fine right out of the box as long as you tweak a few settings. If you grab something decent in the $100–$150 range (TP-Link Archer AX21, ASUS RT-AX57, Netgear, etc.), just do this after settin

running VPN off router to only one device - possible?
Don't think it's possible with that router you have, check out a TP link ax1800, it's definitely not as good as some out there but i can guarantee you that you can individually select devices by the MAC address that you want to use the VPN. I only recommended this router because I have been using on

Logia 5-in-1 WiFi not connecting fix
I had tried everything to reconnect my 5-in-1 Wireless Weather Station (LOWSC510WB). Reset multiple times to no avail, spent hours researching how to download firmware updates (didn’t figure it out).
Until I realized that we got a new router. Turns out, this station won’t connect when the router s

Having trouble with your Lumen internet? Not satisfied with your 360 WiFI / Premium WiFI and Quantum Fiber / My CenturyLink app experience? Or do you want to use your own 3rd party router so that you have more control over your network? Here are some helpful instructions.
Today, I used this guide to get QF set up at my house. I am using an TP-Link Archer AX21 as a router and I was using CenturyLink prior to QF. Everything is working great. This guide was great for getting things set up. A few things I want to note in case anyone is going through something similar. I

Anything equivalent to Asus' AIMesh?
If you don't need parental controls or deep control over your system, then go for TP link Deco. Over the summer, I was searching for a new router to replace our Xfinity gateway. I went with OPNsense at first, but couldn't get it set up, and I didn't feel like I wanted a router that I had to spend mu

Suggest me a good router for Self hosting that doesn't lag or hang.
I've been happy with all TP-Link routers I've used. I'm currently using the Archer AX21 and have no complaints. It even has a built in dynamic DNS feature that has been working well for over a year.

Starling Router Bypass Help
I recently purchased starlink for an airbnb. I setup the starlink router and is now working perfectly fine. However, I have an Archer AX21 also connected to my starlink router. I plan on using the Archer AX21 for all of my connections as it offers more features than the starlink router, such as a ho

Advice on upgrading existing AX21
I made the plunge and am hard-wiring my house with ethernet drops. Right now my internet (Centurylink) comes through a TP-Link Archer AX21 (AX1800 wifi 6 router). I'm thinking about replacing it with a TP-Link Omada access point. The EAP660 looks pretty good, but I'd have to mount it on the wall (sa
