New method for the ORB - YouTube
I just tried my standard soup recipe which is 18g coffee 90g water, 5.5 on the Timemore 078 not using the middle plastic piece and just directly pouring the coffee on top of the bed and then pumping. A little bit of if coffee grounds got into the pump which was more of a pain to clean up, but the co

Tariffs on espresso tools - A cautionary tale
I have, or have had, the Niche, 078s and the DF64v and while I agree that on paper the Niche is relatively expensive for the features it offers, it remains a rock solid, easy to use, reliable grinder, and it's by far my favorite grinder for espresso. I haven't used the VS3 but there are numerous rep

Espresso Grinder Recs [$1,600]
Mahlkonig E64 WS grind by weight home grinder. I have the Timemore Sculptor 078s. Hear me out, buy it used…. It would already have been seasoned. Buying it new is not great because it takes FOREVER to season. Also, I don’t like the stepless dial. I bought a magnetic pointer for it in the end.

Does your Timemore Sculpture 064s also do this?
Someone seems to have had similar issue herehttps://www.home-barista.com/grinders/new-timemore-sculptor-grinders-064-064s-078-078s-t83966-900.htmlso either both of you are unlucky or it is a design flowif it new try contacting the company, personally I would just ignore the stuck bean

[Ceado E6C] Motor Noise
I didn't really use the Ceado sadly. It seemed like a really nice grinder and had a lot to like but the sound would have driven me nuts. For that much money I just opted to return it. The VS6 has been great, overall. The motor itself is very, very quiet and it is really easy to open up and take apar

New burrs in Timemore Sculptor 064 Gen2 and 078 Gen2 grinders
despite all of the nice improvements tho, I don't think the Sculptor Gen2 is going to be that much of a long-term market success, in the US and EU - in Asia, they sell at a much lower price, so there, it might be different Timemore keeps making their Sculptor grinders more expensive, and vendor-lock

Let the games begin! Niche Zero vs. Timemore Sculptor 078s first impressions.
Yes I still use the DF64V and am happy with it but looking around anyway because upgradeitis is real. Anyway, I catalogued by issues with the 078s here The issues mentioned there that bothered me the most are the grind adjustment dial and burr access, the clicking grounds knocker was probably the le

What's the best budget grinder for dark roasts?
US$1k (ok, "sub" it--and I believe that this bracket was added to the post later) is budget? Lol. And in that case and with the post's flat-burr qualifier, the Timemore Sculptors (the 064S and 078S) and the Lagom Casa. None of which I consider to be a "budget" grinder.
