Focusing on security with my new Durango RT Plus

For racing, mount an Insta360 outside the car. I have a Thinkware Q200 dash cam mounted front and back which does well what it's supposed to, but it's not spectacular video.

Based on Canada - dashcam recommendations?

My personal recommendations would be Thinkware, Viofo, or FineVu. FineVu is not as popular as the first 2, but they make some decent cameras as well at very reasonable prices. Some models you can look into:Viofo A119 Mini 2 - 2K QHD front with Sony Starvis 2FineVu GX400 - 2K QHD front with Sony Star

I need two sets of dashcams

Blackvue 770x plus is a decent middle of the road camera. Can step up to the Thinkware U3000 for better quality videos, or down to the Thinkware Q200 for minimum viable.

Do dashcams actually stay clear at highway speeds?

Using Thinkware as an example anything under the Q200 sucks at night. The U3000 is a few steps up from that, and its imminent replacement will be better still. That being said most dash cams suck to read plates in the day, and sleet will bring even the best cameras to their knees.
