To those who went to World of Coffee 2026 in San Diego — what stood out?

Some observations: I do not know how to cover 4 American football fields of booths in 3 days. I could do it in 5 days. Spending longer than 7-12 minutes at any one booth/company is a major commitment of time in this context. Lance was there. Doug was there. Weber booth was very customer focused and

UPDATE: 2 weeks ago I asked "What's the best no-frills coffee maker", and after 400+ recommendations, I bought my mom the Moccamaster

I bought a moccamaster a few years ago and long term i'm finding it a little... disappointing. Ultimately it looks cool but it's still just a drip coffee maker. It takes up a lot of counter space. Design is ok. It's all business. The insulated carafe is quality. (I opted for the carafe instead of wa

Is there an easier way to brew with the Moccamaster?

It’s no different than any other drip coffee maker with regard to process. It just happens to be popular with coffee drinkers that enjoy complicating things. You can use it just like you did your cheap coffee maker before the keurig or the Bunn. The Bunn HB will make just as good coffee, if you had

Let’s talk coffee makers

I'm suggesting they don't buy the Moccamaster because their coffee will likely taste even worse. The brewing apparatus is one leg of a three-legged stool. Grind and product matter just as much. The world's finest estate coffees, ground with whirly-blade for a few seconds and then brewed with a WalMa

Ok, so we bit the bullet... You guys were right. ☕ ☕

At the end of the day, the moccamaster just heats water to a good temperature range below boiling and pumps it over coffee grounds. I wouldn't buy one because I think it offers very little more than being an overpriced kettle, but it legitimately does something basically every other drip maker fails

Drip coffee maker suggestions

Breville Luxe. Solid build. Reliable. Makes great coffee and brewing parameters can be changed. My personal opinion: avoid Moccamaster coffee makers. They are expensive and have a lot of flimsy cheap plastic parts. Brew parameters are also fixed.

What makes the Technivorm Moccamaster so good ? Is it really that good ?

First off: I understand it is a good coffee maker. The question the OP is really asking though is is it good enough to justify the premium I think at this point it may be trading on its name a little. There are a fair number consistent temp, shower head / multi-hole style drip, reliable, SCA certifi

Best Drip Coffee Maker

Exactly, it's an insanely expensive drip maker. You can get a stainless moka pot that's truly BIFL for 50$ and it will make better coffee. No idea why everyone glazes the moccamaster.

Best Drip Coffee Maker

Because marketing efforts. You have no idea how far marketers go to astroturf products and services on Reddit. They spend $$$$ buying aged accounts, making sure those accounts stay active in diverse subreddits, etc. just so when they start glazing the fuck out of a product like Moccamaster, it looks

What are the best coffee makers worth buying the MOST right now?

Almost every coffee maker I have ever had has lasted longer than five years. There are literally no moving parts. Just keep any coffee maker descaled and it will last. I have a Moccamaster and its a mixed bag. Yes the boiler is built like a tank but all the plastic parts that go in the outside are s
