Wer billig kauft, kauft zweimal?

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie?
The Technivorm Moccamaster coffee maker. I got tired of buying a new lesser one every year. I’m going on 10 years with mine and it’s still going strong.

What are the best coffee makers worth buying the MOST in 2026?
Technivorm Moccamaster. Simple, brews fast, and is highly repairable. The coffee tastes pretty good too. We’ve only had it for 4 years, but I’ve had other coffee makers die in that amount of time so it’s doing well so far. Keep the grinder separate.

What’s the best coffee maker machine right now that Coffee lovers currently love the MOST?
Id go with the Technivorm Moccamaster and a separate grinder. its pretty much the gold standard for drip coffee because its super durable, easy to maintain, and should last you decades. you can find some good options in this thread

If you had to recommend one coffee maker in 2026, what would it be?
If you just want a stupid reliable, low complexity, repairable workhorse of a drip brewer and cost is no object, the Technivorm Moccamaster is what you're looking for. It's an icon for a reason. I love mine.

My Fellow Nightmare
ngl that’s brutal. i’ve seen the same pattern with fellow after they took investment - quality and support both tanked. i ran into a similar issue with an expensive grinder last year and ended up switching to a technivorm moccamaster for daily drip. what helped me before was looking at brands like b

If you had to recommend one coffee maker in 2026, what would it be?
If I had to pick just one coffee maker right now, I’d recommend the Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV Select. It consistently brews clean, balanced coffee with good temperature and flow control, and it’s built to last. Lots of people use it daily because it’s simple, reliable, and makes much better coffee

Best coffee machine that actually lasts? Tired of cheap machines breaking in 2026.
A Technivorm Moccamaster has basically zero electronics. It's a boiler, bubble pump, and brew basket. It's dead simple, and with monthly descaling, should last a very long time.

AMA. I work in a shop selling espresso machines. Ask me anything!
I see what you’re trying to do here. But I genuinely don’t think that statement / logic translates as easily or applies in fact. The Moccamaster retails for ~$350, and can be had on sale around the $200 mark. In absolute terms, the Moccamaster isn’t that expensive even at full retail. (It’s in the p

My disappointed perspective
you can build plastic for durability, and metal for durability too colourful futuristic plastics //////// - James Hoffmann views the Technivorm Moccamaster as a classic, durable, simple, and effective automatic drip brewer, praising its consistent temperature (around 97-98°C) and flow, reliable copp
