Best drip coffee makers for home with no bells and whistles?

I'll be the first to say the usual answer of Technivorm Moccamaster. Literally only 2 switches, on/off and half/full brew. I really like mine, they're hand made, it's built like a tank and you get a lifelong warranty.

Wer billig kauft, kauft zweimal?

What are the best coffee makers worth buying the MOST in 2026?

Technivorm Moccamaster. Simple, brews fast, and is highly repairable. The coffee tastes pretty good too. We’ve only had it for 4 years, but I’ve had other coffee makers die in that amount of time so it’s doing well so far. Keep the grinder separate.

If you had to recommend one coffee maker in 2026, what would it be?

If you just want a stupid reliable, low complexity, repairable workhorse of a drip brewer and cost is no object, the Technivorm Moccamaster is what you're looking for. It's an icon for a reason. I love mine.

I Did Not Know This! Moccamaster for the Win!

"I'm anxious to compare the two". Is this my statement that riled you up, lol? True, Aiden has plenty of people praising it on youtube, but they all wear backwards baseball caps like AJ Soprano, receive free machines from Fellow to do their "unbiased reviews", and then post affiliate links, that onl

AMA. I work in a shop selling espresso machines. Ask me anything!

I see what you’re trying to do here. But I genuinely don’t think that statement / logic translates as easily or applies in fact. The Moccamaster retails for ~$350, and can be had on sale around the $200 mark. In absolute terms, the Moccamaster isn’t that expensive even at full retail. (It’s in the p

Why does fresh ground vending machine coffee suck?

I'm not a coffee snob. I drink pre-ground folgers classic roast at home. I do have a technivorm moccamaster, but that's because of the quick brew time, serviceability, and the attractive style. But the coffee from the machine at work is absolutely atrocious. There are actually 2 different cheap drip

What’s the best ‘set it and forget it’ purchase you’ve made?

Bought a Technivorm MoccaMaster in 2005 and it looks new and makes good coffee. I broke a carafe a couple of years back. But getting a replacement was easy.

Anyone want to hack their Moccamaster?

I’m not here to grift from the Moccamaster community, I’m obviously a fan. Making an accessory is my love letter to the device. That said, blind allegiance is not my thing either. Plastic is indeed more porous and wears out more quickly than glass and ceramic. All plastics. That’s a design constrain
