Is there any update on the release date on this 4K dual cam?

Curious about that one as well. Also wondering if that would detect movement further away than 15m. I have two C520WS and a C500 around our barn and it’s really bad notifying me of events that are a bit in the distance. Especially in the night with infrared. I also can’t identify any licence plate e

G6 PTZ - Huge letdown

I had a Tapo C520WS out back that tracked animals and people. It tracked better than the G5 PTZ that replaced it. I got rid it for several reasons. Their software limits you to one stream at a time. So when I had it recording to Surveillance Station, it wouldn't show in the Tapo app. I could add it

The Tapo camera/cloud/app performance has been dismal lately

I am experiencing the same. Have the cams only since October but they worked better at the beginning. The C500 is crap anyways and I will replace it in spring. The two C520ws are ok but since last update the sound and tracking performance is bad. Also for one I had the Tapo care subscription first a

Tapo cams with Frigate

That’s a good question. Not sure how much AI the two C520WS and the C500 have. The C500 is and was quite dumb from the beginning. The firmware is really bad in my view and Tapo says I should buy a better camera. Frigate just made it smarter even the resolution is not enough so I might update anyways

FYI: C246D cannot change FPS

Yeah I get what you're trying to say - and its not necessarily wrong unless compared to other cams from the same company. Like it's not meant to be an FBI camera, but compared to the rest of the Tapo lineup (and all others I have; 4x C110, 2x C210, 3x C520WS) it is supposed to be a top dog. The Ai i

Dahua PTZ with AI Port

It can be assigned to multiple cameras, but you can't mix and match ONVIF and Unifi. It's one or the other. I think you can use it for 5 (?) Unifi cams that don't have advanced AI, like maybe a G4 Instant. You can use it for multiple ONVIF cams, but only one 4k, or two 2k, or (I think) 3 or 4 HD cam
