Alternatives to Ubiquiti?
I use the Synology RT6600ax with RT2600 (now discontinued) and MR2200 wired mesh points and Netgear GS316EPP and GS305EPP switches. Everything works great and uptime and continuity throughout the coverage area is superb. I know Synology doesn’t get much love in this sub, but it’s something worth con

RT6600AX WiFi Coverage
What I would do is treat this router as the core unit and plan for additional access points. The RT6600ax is designed to work in a mesh setup, and once you add nodes like a WRX560 or another Synology router, coverage becomes consistent and predictable instead of patchy. Folks who run it in mesh gene

Recommendation for Router and AP setup
I’m using a Synology rt6600ax with 3 mr2200ac and 1 rt2600ac (discontinued) mesh points. We have an old house with plaster walls and WiFi was a nightmare - this setup solved our problems. The rt2600ac and 2 mr220ac are setup with wired backhaul to the main Synology 6600ax router, with one mr2200 run

Smart Hub SH32B Spec Sheet & eero
It sounds like I have the same fibre to the premises EE service as you (900/100). I’ve been using a Synology router for many years (RT6600ax) and like the features and interface but was not happy with their WiFi. I added a few eero Max 7 units running in bridge mode and turned off the WiFi on the Sy

Sonic Internet Modem/Router
I have a synology rt6600ax. I haven’t had any problems with it. I figure most people could go with something considerably cheaper, but I’m a rather heavy user, so I splashed out a bit. The funny thing is, unless you go super high end, your router is going to be the choke point of your network, becau

PDX - Quantum switchover caused CenturyLink service to stop competely
Thanks. Yes, my RT6600ax does also, but the tagging adds it to the wan port so when the Xfiniy modem is enabled the wan port is still tagged and xfinity will not connect with , my soulution was to use the C3000 to tag the the CL connection and when switched the router lost all tagging and then the x

Need some help choosing a suitable router.
Top options are the ASUS RT-AX88U Pro for strong performance, the Netgear Nighthawk RAX120 for reliability, and the Synology RT6600ax for good features. These offer solid coverage and handle multiple devices well without huge speed drops.

I want to go away from Unifi, any suggestions?

Wireless router to extend to home office but stay wired
It’s not state of the art anymore but this is what I have. My router is a Synology RT2600ac and I have it meshed you can do (wired or wireless back haul) with Synology MR2200ac. The MR2200ac has a Ethernet port you could plug your work pc into. The newer equivalent of my setup is the Synology RT6600
