Thinking about moving away from Polar, can you talk me out of it?

Short answer that became long: I had a V (beside other Polar watches before) and changed to V3 after extensive research incl. using the apps of Suunto and Garmin (the latter I still use for my xc100 rallye pedal). I had the same thoughts like you between the 965 and the Race. So it all comes down to

Confused about which watch to buy

I was a garmin user (forerunner 255, 965). Now I have suunto run. I have had it since the beginning of October. I have almost a thousand kilometers run with suunto run. I left garmin because of the crazy prices and because I no longer follow and am not interested in a lot of the data provided by gar

Race 2

Mapping and navigation is most important and the Race 2 does a reasonable job of that. It actually doesn't do a reasonable job beyond the simplest use cases. As a trail runner I am a power user in terms of using maps and navigation, and I could probably write a whole page of text of what's wrong wit

Garmin FR265 v Suunto Race S

You'll get maps with Race S. Payment, Spotify etc comes with forerunner. Personally I've moved back and forth between Suunto and Garmin, lately from Tactix 8 to Race. And with Suunto you get the basic stuff done extremely good and it is lot simpler. You set it up once and that's it, it'll work. Metr

So all of these are great, but which one to choose?(Suunto Race S, Polar avant m3or coros Pace pro)

I have, and use daily, a Suunto Race 2. I have had the Coros Apex 2 Pro and Coros Pace 2. Essentially, from my experience, Coros and Suunto are on the same level. People complain of all sorts of issues with Suunto, but I have yet to encounter any. The optical heart rate monitor works great, GPS work

How accurate is GPS on Run/Race models?

In my experience, Suunto Race is the second most accurate watch that I've ever had out of 9 watches - very good overall but perhaps not excellent. I've never seen any significant accuracy issues even on the most challenging terrain. Distance accuracy is great too! Suunto Race S is very close to Race

Looking for a GPS watch upgrade — Apple Watch isn’t cutting it

I’d agree with everyone else on Garmin and specifically the Forerunner 265S. The the battery life on Garmin watches are top tier and I think the FR series watches are quite decent overall plus it has an AMOLED display OR the COROS Pace 3 (or the newer Pace 4 depending on your budget) which arguable

Suunto Race 2 & Vertical 2

I switched to Suunto after 7 years with Garmin. I'm also an average runner, I go for walks with the family, and I weightlift to keep fit. I switched to a Race S (soon to be a Race 2) because the Garmin ecosystem was too cluttered, difficult to navigate, had too many features (most of which I didn't

Suunto Watches

Switched to suunto 9 around 4 years ago from garmin 2 days before a triathlon sprint (garmin broke while swimming) They are super robust, had several crashed on the bike and landing on watch while never broke down, amazing battery life and good insights from the app. I’m upgrading my sports watch to
