I bought a Steelcase Leap V2 in November 2024 when I started working from home, and after over a year of sitting in it I can positively say I hate it.

I do think chairs are like beds and sitting in them for a few minutes really doesn't give you an accurate picture of what each one will feel like after sitting in them for hours a day. Personally the only thing that worked for me is buying a chair and returning it if it starts to hurt. I went throug

Embody vs Aeron vs Steelcase leap v2 or other alternative

I must say, that i am 6"3 and 130kg. So im on the complete other spectrum size wise :D I dont like the Aeron, since i am not a Mesh-Guy. And also that rim around the seat itself was very uncomfy for my liking. The different steelcase variants are obv. not all the same.I only tested the Gesture and L

Can't decide - have you tried any of these?

You said you're coming from an executive style chair. All these chairs would be a torture device for your butt to a varying degrees. Still boggles my mind how a decently padded chair would affect you negatively. I have a Steelcase Leap V2, which is arguably more padded than the rest of the bunch, an

What did you think was pretentious, until you tried it and realized it was worth it?

I own a Herman Miller Aeron at home and I hate it. There is not enough support and no padding. I was told it was the best option when I got it years ago. It was so expensive that I never bothered to replace it. Thank you for the suggestion. I will look into the Steelcase Leap V2.

Opinion on study chair.Markus vs Steelcase

You'll get swamp ass with Steelcase Leap V2's cushion seat unless your air con is on 24/7, only mesh chairs work well in Singapore's hot and humid weather. Go try the Herman Miller Aeron at Marina Square Xtra then buy it on Shopee special days for $900+.

4 years old but still works like a charm!

Did you get the Gesture? I'm thinking either Leap V2 or Gesture with the headrest. Would love to know your thoughts. Edit: You're the first one that said Gesture has a thicker seat than Leap V2, whereas everywhere I'm reading, they're saying Leap V2 has a better chair, and the Gesture's seat is thin

Steelcase Gesture hurts my tailbone...do all ergonomic chairs have thin seat pads?

Oh, this is reassuring to hear. I am 5'10 and my current chair is a cheap office/boss chair. These days, my tailbone is starting to hurt, obviously because of my fucked up posture and practically no lumbar/back support. I had narrowed down to the Steelcase Leap V2 and Gesture, but I'm heavily leavin

Leap v2 warped back. Return it?

Leaps are well known for this unfortunately. They will naturally look slightly assymetrical because of the lumbar adjustment being assymetrical. Steelcase says that's normal and they tell you that once you learn into the chair you won't feel it, HOWEVER many if them do twist/warp over time and you D

Comparing the most talked about chairs in each category

Its not just the Herman Miller chairs vs Leap V2. In fact, the Steelcase Amia seems to be recommended more here than the Leap V2. I own both the Amia and Leap V2 and definitely think the Amia is a safer recommendation than the Leap V2. The Leap V2’s seat cushion has very mixed opinions, while the Am

Honest and comprehensive LiberNovo Omni Chair review from a tall'ish guy (in a sea of covert paid / sponsored ads)

I had an Omni and am in the process of returning it. Something about the back just wasn’t comfortable for me. The thing is, it’s not actually very adjustable, it’s a single adjustment for the back that pushes up in a weird location around the middle part of the backrest, it’s not like most other lum
