Such nach gutem Bürostuhl statt "Gaming Schrott"

WFH chair for the girls
Seconding Steelcase. Close in quality (both ergo and literal make/materials) to Herman Miller with a slightly less offensive price point. I sit cross-legged in mine regularly. If you buy directly from them, it ships fully assembled as well so no fucking around with putting a chair together. I have a

Using a Fern, Don't Fit Aeron, Not Sure What's Next
If you like mesh look at a Steelcase Karman. Aerons are above average for sure, but overrated because of how iconic they were during the dotcom era. I personally think anyone should try a Steelcase Leap v2 or a Gesture at least as a baseline of what expectations should be for a good chair. Some othe

Non-fabric Chairs
I sat on the more fabric-y Steelcase Karman. It’s a really nice chair, but I agree with the many who complain the seat is uncomfortably hard. At 5’1 you might like HM’s Setu. You probably can’t sit on it with one leg tucked under, but it’s a comfortable mesh chair that’s seemingly easy to clean.

AMA with the ergonomic chair designer
The Steelcase Karman is impressive! It does a great job balancing comfort, breathability, lightness, and eco-friendliness. Its hybrid seat cushion feels soft yet provides steady support. The design also incorporates the best features from Steelcase’s classics like Leap, Gesture, and Cobi. If you car

Is a $2000 chair justified?
That's a fair point, and to that credit the steelcase karman works pretty well for that same purpose.

Searching for a New Office Chair - What was your process?
I've heard great things about both the Leap v2 and the Herman Miller Aeron. A few years ago I was ready to buy from Madison Seating based on what I'd read, but I couldn't decide between them. I went downtown to Herman Miller and Steelcase to try them. THANK GOODNESS - neither of them worked for me.

Film: Accountant 2 chairs?
It’s a Steelcase Karman. Not two chairs of same class, more apt comparison would be Karman and Aeron.
