Boom 2

I know of 45 speakers in the same size that are better than the Revolve+ II as it's ranked #46 in its size class Try a Earfun Uboom L, Soundcore Motion 300, Tribit Stormbox Lava or Soundcore Boom 2.

It's good if you need to bring out the instruments and vocals, although personally, I find that this preset generally improves the sound—I can't listen to the speaker with the default settings anymore. Yep, I recently got a Soundcore Boom 2 and noticed this same exact thing. I googled it, found this thread. So hey, this post might be finally getting the internet traction it deserves! I only have one Soundcore device, so I don't know if this is limited to the Boom 2 or not. But you're not crazy OP,

Soundcore Boom 2 is probably your best bet in that range. Solid bass without getting muddy, and loud enough for small hangouts

The one that I currently use all the time. It's a Soundcore Boom 2. Great Sound! I live on an acreage and I could fill my whole backyard with sound. Has the saying goes, "I don't always listen to classic rock, but when I do, so do my neighbors!"

Two good choices are the Soundcore Motion 300 or the EarFun Uboom L. They both have good detail and decent bass and are a small form factor. Boom 2 is a really nice speaker. Fair enough, I'm not directly comparing or expecting the Boom 2 Plus to outperform a Bose Soundlink Max, they are in two completely different leagues and price points. I definitely do not experience that with my Soundcore Boom 2. Are you using the Soundcore app with your speaker? Have you tried the Soundcore Signature EQ?

Between the two, I'd take the Onn Large Party gen2 over the Soundcore Boom 2 Plus, it's just overall better sounding with a much smother frequency response as you can see in the reviews linked on that page. Besides that I think spending the extra $10 for the Tribit Stormbox Blast over the Soundcore
