A wishlist for next 1" cameras from Sony

Sony have a 50MP 1” sensor. It’s used in smartphones. They could easily put it in a ZV / RX. They kind of stopped with RX with mass slowing of compact market. But shifted it to ZV where market potential much better. There’s not a whole lot of point for them releasing a new RX when they can sell the

iPhone Pro vs Entry-level camera like Sony ZV 1F ?

A smartphone will win on sheer convenience, a dedicated system gives fine granular control. A smartphone simplifies the photo taking process because the tone mapping / stacking / contrast color hdr edits all take place in split second to produce the photo. While a dedicated camera can easily triumph

Sony ZV-1F for stand up comedy

honestly the zv-1f might struggle in dark clubs. the sensor is small so low light performance isn't great. for that scenario you want something with a larger sensor that handles noise better. a used sony zv-e10 with a fast prime lens would be a way better fit. it lets in way more light and you can s

Buying a Camera

Point and shoots are mostly dead. It's not like you CANT buy them, there is the Canon V10, and the Sony ZV1f/ZV1 for 30-40k. But then the lens is fixed with a slightly larger sensor than the phone. Unless you plan on moving to a Nikon Z30, Canon R50 or the Sony ZVE10, getting a point and shoot is pr

which one is better?

The ZV-1 and ZV-1II have bigger lens and therefore it can collect more light - also it allows for better DoF. I would not go for the ZV-1F if you can afford either of the normal ZV-1 versions.

How you feel about the Sony Zf-V1 for a freelance photographer?

Worst possible choice (if you mean the ZV-1F). It is a vlogging foxused camera with a fixed lens. For any freelancing you should at least get a APS-C sensor camera with removable lens or even a full frame camera - best allround option there would be the A7C, which has the same specs as the A73 but i

What Software do you use to manage/transfer videos from your Sony camera?

Hello! I have a Sony camera (Sony ZV 1F) and I was wondering what software people are using to manage and transfer videos from their camera to their PCs (Windows 10).

Currently, I'm just doing it sans software and doing a USB transfer. But I'm sure there's something better out there. Online search

Horrible compression when uploading clips from my Sony ZV-1F to YouTube

I've used 5 cameras in the last 5 years, and YouTube compressing the videos on my new ZV-1F has to be the worst of all of them.

I notice compression at both 4k and 1080p with the highest possible bitrate set.

Anyone here have any remedies for this? My videos look awful when compressed like this.

Should I upgrade my Sony zv-1f to a Sony a6000?

Hello everyone, I'm relatively new into the camera space and i was gifted a Sony zv-1f as a starter camera. I've shot on it quite a bit to try and understand the basics. An issue I'm facing however, is the zoom and the ability to not shoot in raw. I want to move more into photography than videograph
