RX100 V in 2026/2026?
As an owner of the RX100 V, it takes too long to start up and shut down. I’m talking 6-10 seconds. Compared to my ZV-1f II, that turns on in 2 seconds. That means if I want to capture a moment, I’m SOL if it’s too fast. I also am not a fan of waiting for the camera to shut down and retract its lens

A wishlist for next 1" cameras from Sony
Sony have a 50MP 1” sensor. It’s used in smartphones. They could easily put it in a ZV / RX. They kind of stopped with RX with mass slowing of compact market. But shifted it to ZV where market potential much better. There’s not a whole lot of point for them releasing a new RX when they can sell the

iPhone Pro vs Entry-level camera like Sony ZV 1F ?
A smartphone will win on sheer convenience, a dedicated system gives fine granular control. A smartphone simplifies the photo taking process because the tone mapping / stacking / contrast color hdr edits all take place in split second to produce the photo. While a dedicated camera can easily triumph

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! July 31, 2026
Sony Zv-1f might be the best option. It has a 1inch sensor and 35mm equivalent field of view with f2.0 and it's the cheapest 1 inch sensor body that looks like a traditional camera.

What is everyone using to film/take photos
iPhone 14 (going to get the 16 pro max soon) and a Sony ZV-1F. I saw a post last night by another creator and I saved the vid bc it was so crisp and clear & had lots of depth lol. I want to ask what camera she used.

Sony ZV-1F for stand up comedy
honestly the zv-1f might struggle in dark clubs. the sensor is small so low light performance isn't great. for that scenario you want something with a larger sensor that handles noise better. a used sony zv-e10 with a fast prime lens would be a way better fit. it lets in way more light and you can s

Sony ZV-1F for stand up comedy
The ZV-1F can work, but keep in mind that its fixed 20mm lens is very wide. If you’re at the back of the room, you’ll end up with a tiny comedian in a very large frame, and digital zoom will quickly degrade that 1-inch sensor's quality. It’s a great 'vlog' camera, but for a stationary stand-up set,

What’s the smallest intentional income stream you’ve built that still gives you peace of mind?
Thanks for the feed back. Ya you can kind of tell I have given up some in not putting anything into the description anymore. So I went back and put a small, but accurate description into the 4 videos that didn't have one. I am using a Sony ZV 1F. I do see what you mean about the colors looking washe

Buying a Camera
Point and shoots are mostly dead. It's not like you CANT buy them, there is the Canon V10, and the Sony ZV1f/ZV1 for 30-40k. But then the lens is fixed with a slightly larger sensor than the phone. Unless you plan on moving to a Nikon Z30, Canon R50 or the Sony ZVE10, getting a point and shoot is pr

Im seriously thinking of getting the Fujifilm X Half - Should I?
Other than the idiotic idea of using an LED Light instead of an actual Flash it looks OK at the current $549.99 Fuji selling Refurbished ones for on their website. I have a little Sony ZV1F with a 1” Sensor and it takes good pics n video. Not as good as my Fujifilm APSC camera but in good light its
