Personally I’m planning to replace my FX6 with a Pyxis 12K. I’ll be keeping my FX3 though because 1) AF 2) small/light/low power consumption 3) it’s essentially a more versatile FX6. I think FX3-style cameras will be super competitive moving forward. If someone can make essentially a 6K FX3 with ope

I would probably stray away from both cameras if I was going to shoot weddings. At the same price point, any of Lumix's line (S5II, S5IIX) would work really well. Maybe a used C70 or FX3 at the top end of your budget. An FX2 wouldn't be out of the question either. The Lumix series has the best inter

I own FX3, ZV-E1, A7iv and the new A7v. After some testings and a few field gigs, the A7v certainly has the better sony Autofocuse system and better in-body stabilizer, and sharper in-camera 4k video codec than FX3 and ZV-E1. Low light is shockingly as good as FX3 and ZV-E1 up to ISO 12800... ZV-E1

Funny enough both of these videos were recorder on a fx3 with the 14-24mm Sony gm that’s usually how they get these clean shot with everything in focus and no noise. I would opt for rec709 or s Vientiane with your setup

for martial arts tournaments where action moves fast across the mat, the fx3 autofocus is going to save you so many shots. the bmpcc 6k pro has better image quality but you'll be pulling focus constantly even at f8. the fx3 low light performance at 12800 iso is also a game changer for poorly lit doj

For sport videography no doubt Sony FX3, for it’s autofocus and low light performance. As well as it can get you hired in other gigs, as many in Sony

Hard truth, if you are not good at focus pulling or don't have a focus puller - learning how to PROPERLY use the AF on sony cameras like the A7S3 or FX3 will get you way better results than manual focusing badly. The AF on those cameras is real damn good and rarely misses

Sony for lens selection and autofocus. I don’t have the FX3 but I use the A7siii which is basically the same sensor

There’s a leaked sensor roadmap floating around: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/1aff89b182d7fca65b4335b4502343666ef1e3ab66183a151e82381747129019.png The interesting thing is that it was leaked before the IMX820 (see chart) showed up. And that’s clearly the Nikon ZR sensor. So there’s reason to
