Yes, it just tightens everything a little more in terms of image quality. I keep buying 16MP bodies, be it Olympus or Panasonic and I just end up selling it down the line. Just left Sony for a S1Rii. I’m strictly a photographer. I started with Sony 10 years ago with a Walmart bought Sony. Then A6300 > A7riii>A7r4>A7CR. I was just between a used canon R6/7 or Sony. I ended up with a used Sony a7r iii for $1200 with 6800 shutter count. In some ways the canons would be better. Certainly better autofocus. Arguably the stepping up and still having sufficient resolution is possible also on Canon (R5 lines) and Nikon (Z7, z8, and Z9 lines) as with Sony (A7R and A1 lines). I agree Sony has a better APS-C lineup as that's the product of Sony's original commitment to APS-C all the way back to NEX camera. E
