How much do I need to spend before I can get a camera that will outperform my pixel 9 pro

Almost any camera that can shoot in LOG profile. For example Sony a6300 should be dirt cheap used. Lenses are more important than the camera when basic camera requirements are met. Then the most important thing which makes 90% of the image is lighting. Arri Alexa with 50k€ lens will look worse in sh

Backcountry Photography question

I think a 24-105 lens is perfect for backcountry trips. Wide enough for shots of the landscape but you can also zoom in on skiers/riders in action shots. I use a Sony a6300 with the tamron 17-70 (equivalent of ~24-105 for full frame) and love it. I carry it in a hyperlite camera pouch on my hip. Whe

Action cam atau Mirrorless?

Canon mirrorless overpriced sih. Pilihannya antara sony atau fujifilm aja imo. Sony kalo lu prioritasin autofocus. Fuji kalo prioritasin warna. Budget 8jt jujur gak ada yg punya IBIS. Paling stabilisasi di lensanya aja. Opsinya paling: Sony a6300 + 18-105mm Fuji xt20 + 18-55mm Sony zv1 Action cam gw

Is the fx30 a good starter camera?

I absolutely love my FX30. Started with the Sony a6300 and then switched over to the FX30 when I felt the urge to upgrade. FX30 is indeed, way beyond a starter camera. You won't regret.

Full spectrum camera for normal photography

Thank you! So the full spectrum R5 with hot mirror filter performs identical to a 'normal' R5 in terms of light sensitivity? If you'd photograph with both camera's in manual mode with identical settings (iso, aperture, shutter speed) an identical scene with identical light conditions, you would yiel

Choosing the right gear for a Safari in Tanzania: Sony a6700 vs. OM-3 vs. Fuji X-T5?

Sony and OM are a compromise between image quality and telephoto lens options. Sony only has the 70-350, which will give reach a lot like the 70-300 on your GF's a6300, obviously slightly longer. OM has more options, but you have compromises elsewhere to get them (light gathering, etc.) This is a ca

Choosing my system, M43 or APS-C, and what lens?

Sony has a very large lens ecosystem. it's a great system to start on as you can try a lot of different focal lengths for relatively low costs, and you can usually find a lot of stuff for pretty cheap used. until you really know what you like and dislike, I think Sony is a great place to be. My new camera system after 8 years of MFT?

I use a mix of things. I end up reaching for my a6300 and Sigma 18-50 a lot, it’s small and light, and 95% of the quality of my a7RV. On the A7RV I use the 20-70 F/4 when I want something light, and the Tamron 35-150 f/2-2.8 when I don’t care. I also use the Tamron 28-200 when I want a smaller do ev

Replacing my D850 with an RX100 vi (instead of an Ultra phone)?

I came from a D800. Did Fuji for 10 years. Forget them due to AF and general durability. Did m43, you might look at a used OM5 with appropriate glass, fits your needs very well. Now shoot Sony, FF, apsc and 1”. Like another noted, the RX100's aren’t weather sealed, have seams all over the place and
