Got a7sii and want to upgrade but… a7siii or fx3

Would add that most who rig an FX3 also have to add a cage, as the FX3 1/4 20 threads lack Arri locating points. It also lacks NATO, or a bottom Arca plate. Without locating points for anti-twist pins, any single attachment can easily twist off. The A7S III also has an advantage when shooting in bri

Will there be FX 3 Mark 2 released in 2026

i ran into this same dilemma last year. sony typically announces new cameras in spring or fall, so waiting could be 6+ months. the fx3 is still a beast for cinema work and that 24-70 gm ii will hold value. if you need a camera now for your msc projects, just get it. the mark ii rumors are just specu

3.5 Hour Ambient Underwater Film, cold water diving off Vancouver Island - Broughton Archipelago [OC]

Submission Statement: I just put together a 3.5 hour ambient underwater film from dives in the Broughton Archipelago off northern Vancouver Island, and this is a short trailer from it. This was filmed over 7 dives across 3 days, totaling roughly 8 hours underwater, followed by about 20 hours of comp

Hello ZV E10, E10 Mark II Users. If we crank up the ISO to max, can we capture a video like this? I know. Not photo using Long Exposure. But a video. Is it possible?

Yeah nice video! (Have shot the Milky Way in video myself many times..) In that particular Instagram video they also used the Sony a7siii. Sorry to tell you, but the a6700 won't do that either (is comparable to the ZV-E10 image quality/sensitivity.) You really need any of those bodies I mentioned to

Has the Lumix vs Sony debates have gotten weird?

I think right now, Sony users are facing something Lumix users are still used to. With PDAF, we had a situation that it wasn't available and we where told it's not that important. DFD is good enough for stills (other than birds in flight) and AF-C works great for video. Real videographers use manual

I'm curious about Sony's new camera

There’s a leaked sensor roadmap floating around: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/1aff89b182d7fca65b4335b4502343666ef1e3ab66183a151e82381747129019.png The interesting thing is that it was leaked before the IMX820 (see chart) showed up. And that’s clearly the Nikon ZR sensor. So there’s reason to

How can I replicate this lighting?

There's a single light source on one side of the photo, but a diffused light source on the left – it could be an umbrella or a softbox. This is an overexposure photo; there are millions of tutorial videos about it on YouTube. I think placing a black piece of cardboard to the left of the object to cr

The Nikon ZR question

Right now I’d have a hard time recommending a ZR over an FX3, C50, C70, C80, XH2S, S5/S1 or BMPCC 6k Pro. Having gotten a ZR along with my Sony gear I feel the positioning against FX3 etc. is kinda wrong. The FX3 is an interesting example. Since it's basically a A7sIII/ZV-E1 with "cine features" whi
