Alpha 7S III

It’s plenty, i’ve shot wedding photography with the a7siii. Rarely in editing did I miss having more detail in cropping. You will be completely fine with the one camera.

If you like having a viewfinder, get the a7siii. If viewfinder doesn’t matter to you, the fx3 has more advanced cooling and built in mounting threads so you don’t need a cage to add accessories. I went with a7siii mainly because of the viewfinder, and I love it. Never had a problem with overheating

Been saying this for years now. There is no upgrade for the FX3. It’s like upgrading a hammer. A hammer does what it’s supposed to do. They offered a better screen with the FX3a. There’s nowhere for the A7SIII/FX3/FX6 to go. That 12MP sensor is very specific and special.

That’s unfortunate. I have 2 a7siii cams as well as a fx3 for weddings. I’ve shot hour long ceremonies in the heat and my a7siii cams have never overheated. I wonder if you just got a faulty cam. I used a Sony A7Siii to film it all and it takes great pics too. The gentleman in the right owns the camera these were taken on and I’ll reply with the model when I text him for it for ya!

What? The link you’ve provided shows it has up to 12 stops of DR, which is actually really impressive, that’s up there with cameras known for good DR like the Sony A7Siii. Same for me, except it's for being able to easily crop if needed. The 1080p straight out of the a7siii/FX3/fx6/ev1 sensor is absolutely lovely, imo, but love the ability to punch in just in case.

Short answer, buy what you can afford and make something. So many people focus on gear when I would argue the focus is to tell stories and create. If you can do that, you will be able to upgrade and grow your kit in time. Long answer, the fx3 is a great run and gun camera, if you want to save some m
