I just took a major L, PLEASE HELP

Is this why the a7r4 does a full format, but the a74 does a quick format? Did Sony realize that a full format is not necessary and dangerous in these situations?

GR IV Monochrome pre-orders are now open ($2,199.95)

I think I will sell my Sony A7rIV and lenses for this. Since I don’t do paid jobs anymore, the Sony became a dust collector. Maybe I will wait for a Fuji X-Pro 4 but who knows when it will be released. Ricoh GR3 is my most used camera for over three years. Monochrome is a thing I that I’d like to di

Gear advice

Professional underwater photographer of 12+ years here. Bringing that Sony A7R4 underwater is not going to be cheap no matter what you do. You could try finding a used underwater housing for it, but even then - like buying a used car - I myself would never buy used until it gets serviced to replace

Canon 1DX series?

I had the 1DX (mark1) and honestly, shopting sports with that brick felt effortless. Most shots were good and usability wise it's the best camera i've had. I moved to Sony a7iii and a7riv which are nice but for sports they're both kinda meh. Sure they produce good images but aren't as effortless to

Why Don’t True Micro Four Thirds Cinema Cameras Exist at Lumix—and Why Even Blackmagic Design Moved Beyond MFT After 4K

The FX2 is just a rebranded A7RIV with a fan. In terms of specs it’s nothing crazy. Just more Sony consumerism.

My keyboard setup, shot on an $80,000 camera!

This was indeed shot on the ARRI Alexa 35. I shot open gate (as you said, 4.6K at 24fps), but it was shot on ProRes 4444 XQ which is a significantly less data consuming file format than ARRIRAW. Yes, the Sony A7R4 is exponentially cheaper and shoots still frames that are 4x the resolution of the ARR

Why are these photos blurry?

They look fine to me with the resolution you provide. Tamron 70-300 is at best considered good in sharpness for a Sony A7R4.

Godox says NO. Major Flaw in Godox X3 / X3 Pro: Mixed setups are broken and Godox refuses to fix it

I don't know the reason, but it's apparently to do with sony's communication protocol. The exposure with off-camera TTL changes with aperture, the wider the aperture the more underexposed it is. So you end up having to dial in flash compensation until the exposure looks right, and if you're going to

In your experience, what are the most reliable mirrorless cameras your photographers have used on set?

New mirrorless models are much better at handling LED flicker, compared to say the older Sony A7R IV
