Has the Lumix vs Sony debates have gotten weird?
Definitely notice this, I think on the Sony side there's sometimes a fair bit of sunk cost fallacy (or sponsorships) making them defensive to where they feel the need to nitpick and downplay positives in other systems to justify their decisions (nobody is asking them to do so though). Blind brand lo

Stuck in upgrade paralysis
Why do you need such great ibis for that use case? I switched from Fuji/sony to Nikon, but I’d probably pick a Sony A7C II or an Fujifilm X-T5 for your use case. The Nikon is much heavier.

Moving from Fuji to Lumix (S5 vs S9) for toddler photos & vlogging?
I used both and now have sony a7cii + lumix s9 Do you do pro videography? If not, 8 bit is more than fine and I'd tell you to go for the a7c The s5 is a major downgrade in AF, the s9 AF is still worse than the sony (but good overall) but the build quality feels super cheap and then as you said, no e

Advice to buy in Banglore/Chennai
My advice for any photographer would be to invest more in lenses than the camera body. A camera body will go out of date and depreciate eventually, but a well maintained lens will last you much longer. I assume you're referring to the A7 mark4. It's a good camera. Also consider the A7C mark 2. Which

Panasonic LUMIX L10 compact camera megathread
Yeah, I don't quite understand—with a large body like this, you'd think it'd have weather sealing AND IBIS. Even the Sony a7c ii body is smaller, with all of the above features.

S9ii Possabilities
Yeah I think the A7C II is a good target, very similar size (with a grip adding most of the extra size) nearly the same weight. The potential challenge is maintaining the superior IBIS performance with the difference in L-mount vs E-mount dimensions. I'd hope the addition of a grip gives them more i

Sony A7C vs a6700 -- is it worth the extra money?
If low light shooting is a big deal to you, full frame might be worth the trade-off of being more expensive, and having larger and heavier glass. Which is a real thing and sometimes I wish I had more of an APS-C Sony setup to be smaller and lighter. For the most part you can actually have a pretty c

📸 Mobile Photography 2026: Why the Public is Choosing the Wrong Champion
u do realize leica cameras are kinda shit nowadays, right? u're just paying for the name, not the performance. U don't have the sharpness of a sony, or the color accuracy of a nikon, or the autofocus of a sony, or the detail of a hasselblad, leica is no longer a leader in literally anything, it's ju
