The Milky Way arch at Passo Giau, Dolomites

The Milky Way arch at Passo Giau was one of the most challenging arches I’ve ever captured due to the intense light pollution and high humidity. After a spectacular sunset, we were enveloped in mist during the blue hour, but we were fortunate to have a clear night. I had the lens heater on at maximu

Lumix still an underdog?

Autofocus has improved considerably but Lumix is still behind major brands. The inability to set custom brackets is baffling, especially if you shoot real estate. In order to get +-3 stops you have to shoot 7 pictures which is extremely annoying. The TTL flash performance is slightly sluggish compar

Sony is slowly improving the ergonomics of its cameras, but it’s still not enough | I own and use Sony cameras all the time, but I’m perpetually blown away by how much nicer it is to hold a Canon or Nikon

I have the same issue as the author. I shot a 4 day conference and had the heavy Sigma 70-200 2.8 on my Sony a7iv and I had pain in the joint in my middle finger over a month later. I’ve even noticed it starting to happen again when shooting much shorter events.

Finally! Lesson learned! No more waiting for A7V or FX3 ll

I dealt with overheating on a7iv indoors when live streaming and recording. I believe you’re right about Gerald’s tests. It’s still such a major improvement from a7iv to a7v.

Updating the firmware on my used Alpha 7 iv is impossible

I'm losing my mind.

I recently purchased a used Sony Alpha 7 iv that arrived running on version 1.20.
All guidance that I could find suggested I shouldn't have to download an intermediate version before updating to the current version (5.01) if the camera is running on 1.05 and up.
The updat

I bought Sony a7iv and kind of regretting it

I think you have your answer. A camera is a tool, but I do believe one should work within a system that compliments the users creative side. I’ve seen a number of A7IV models with failed shutters come through my shop. I converted to Nikon recently purely for the reasons OP has stated - Nikon tickles

What is the best platform for Video Podcasts?

I've been having lots of issues with SquadCast... My show features two hosts, and inevitably one of their videos goes black (and I don't know it's happening until I check the raw files). Very frustrating.

I connect my Sony Alpha 7 IV using the El Gato Cam Link 4K, and I think that might be the iss

Sony Alpha 7 IV Overheating issue - need help

Hello, since three days, I have an overheating problem with my 4 month old Sony Alpha 7. Every time I turn on the camera, the warning comes that the camera is too hot and I should cool it down and it automatically turn off after a few seconds. So I can not use the camera, unfortunately. I’m not film
