Repair a small dent

Meh, it's just a Sony and not even an A1ii. Put some duct tape on the dent, sell it to a soccer dad and move on to a proper Leica. If you ever decide to take your Leica off the shelf to impress potential dates and end up dinging it, you can make up some crazy story involving you heroically tossing t

Why should I choose Nikon?

Nikon has been aggressive in giving photographers, and now videographers, the most bang for their buck in mirrorless. The Z-mount is semi-open, giving you the same budget options that Sony shooters get, and you can adapt E-mount lenses as well since there are more E-mount lenses floating around the

One of the flashiest Anna's hummingbirds I've seen - Southern California

The best thing about the first photo is that I didn't touch the saturation on his head in post! Over the past few days this guy has taken over the feeder at my window, chasing a passing costas, a few other Anna's, and even an Allen's away successfully - he is quite an aggressive little fellow. Sony

Does this portrait workhorse hold up in 2026?

I got a Sony A1 II yesterday, despite it being so old released in 2025, it is STILL a great camera. Yes.. even after one day it is still as good as it was on day one.

Is Fuji’s medium format worth it?

i disagree that going from full frame to medium format isn’t that noticeable. going from my sony a1 ii’s 50mb and my gfx 100 ii’s 100mb feels like an huge step up in resolution. if you have a big monitor, you’ll notice a meaningful difference in dynamic range, color depth, and highlight/shadow recov

Why Canon? Or other Brands

Color science is snake oil. You can get any colors out of any camera with post processing. Canon has better ergonomics, but less lens choice and less concentration on small/light. Sony has a lot of lens choice (due to allowing 3rd party lenses) and tends to be more compact/lighter. But their ergonom

Leica Will Increase Camera and Lens Prices Again in the US This Week

Lmao you can’t be serious. A7RV bundled with 28-70 f/2.8 gmii from B&H: $5746 A Leica M11, the fcking base model, is $9840. A 50mm Summicron ASPH is $9945. You can get a pro grade Sony with a pro lens for less than half the cost of a Leica body or a prime Leica aspherical lens. The value proposition

What do we think of rumored Z9ii specs?

How does improving something make the outgoing version bad? That doesn't make any sense. Every new camera ever released has improvements over the prior generation. No matter how good something is, it can always be improved. Every manufacturer says exactly the same thing when their new camera drops.

Is the Nikon z8 really that good?

they are different tools, the z8 can shoot much faster, has some specific wildlife modes in its af and the faster sensor allows for better video. so for wildlife the z8 is better since that is what its designed for, the telephoto lenses on z mount is also a bonus. on the other hand the a7rV has a hi

S1II 60fps 14-bit RAW?

Yes. The 70fps is 12 bit, accessible through speed priority. Image priority is 60 fps in 14 bit. My guess is people care a lot more about Sony because the a7 series has always had fairly slow e shutter capability. And that this 30fps puts it at the same speed as the A1/ii
