What are good cameras for minimal rolling shutter for automotive and fast paced action?
If you're already in the Sony ecosystem, why not just get an A9 III? It's a global shutter and it will work with all of the glass you already use on the A1 and I'm assuming it has fantastic autofocus like the rest of Sony's stuff. It's expensive, but not really any more so than an A1 II or Komodo-X.

Help a beginner cinematographer
I know this subreddit is very cinema-oriented and can't help but to "recommend" cinema cameras like the Sony Burano, some Red cameras, Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 12K and the like, but on the "consumer" level interchangeable lens camera, there are Canon EOS R5/R5C/R5 II, Nikon Z8/Z9, Sony A1/A1 II, and

Is Nikon Z the best camera series or am I missing something?
Well, you said the purpose was to split hair so I answered. One could also say the Z8 is only marginally better than the Z6 III for twice the price, and actually has a worse IBIS and EVF. The Z8 has 2 different slots, one takes CF, the other takes SD. The Z9 has 2 CF-only slots. Sony has hybrid slot

How is the autofocus on the Z6iii and Z5ii?
Short answer: generally, yes, Nikon's latest generation of cameras is going to be better than any Sony APS-C body at AF. Long answer: about 5 years ago AF in mirrorless made a generational leap in performance, the first since we got PDAF on-sensor with the Nikon V1/J1, and saw significant improvemen

Apple Testing 200MP iPhone Camera That Could Ship Next Year
Mostly larger pixels which means better low light performance. Not really. It's the sensor area that allows for better low light performance. A larger sensor has more area for photons to hit, which means it collects more light for each photograph. Assuming the same basic sensor tech across multiple

First 24 hours with medium format
To be honest. I was ready to order the 907X days before the X2D II announcement went online. I shoot HDR videos and stills with Sony A1 II and Q3 43 (videos). The 907X to me is the ideal travel companion next to my Sony. Which I keep a 35 GM on always. The size and feel is fantastic. Brings me all th

Wanted. Strap suggestions for X2D II
I used the A1 for 4 years, always with 35 GM. events, weddings, etc. It does most of the work for me. I merely frame, and does 4K with no issues. The A74, A7R4, A7R5, etc. all does the job. Just that for short videos, the readout on the A1/A1 II is so fast. very easy to edit files. For personal stuf

Wildlife and nature with s1rii and sigma 500mm f5.6?
A1 II is an incredible camera and nobody is disputing that. It's the best AF system ever built and 50mp is not bad. But it doesn't solve the specific problems we're working around in other places. The core issue for me is SOOC color science. Sony's color rendering is accurate flushed out, flat, stra

What camera body?
Thanks for the reply! Yes I’ve heard some discussion of Sony cannibalizing their A1 line with this if the rumours are true. The starting price is something I’m waiting to see. It does seem like the specs would be “too good to be true” for 4k but one can dream! Would be interesting to see how this re

Best ND filter setup?
Yes I am very sure. I shoot with a Sony a1ii and 8k, looks good to me and basically no colour cast that I’ve seen. I think I paid about $340CAD after tax. So that’s a little over double what the Freewell costs
