Selling everything to consolidate - stick with Canon or move to Sony/Nikon?

The a9ii is an old body (2019). Not much of an upgrade over the original a9. The R6mii is newer by about 3 years and a much stronger all arounder with newer AI subject tracking. The R6mii is 40 fps vs 20 fps on the a9ii (15 fps if using a Sigma lens). So if you want fps, a Sigma lens on a Sony body

AMA: 32k Photos with the Nikon Zf's

I bought my Z9’s before the Z8 was released and was a big fan of the full size bodies. It’s body type I’ve shot for 15 years. I’ve been attempting to cut bulk and weight first in lens selection, then in bodies. The tech is mostly the same inside. Dual cards, more than quick enough fps, reliable and

Camera advice: Fujifilm XH2 vs Nikon D5 for motorsport?

Fuji are known for having not that great AF-C I would rather look at either 2nd hand mirorless with stacked sensor (stacked sensor allows for more frequent AF sampling which is massive advantage when target is changing speed, and faster fps) Sony a9 / a9ii (a9 would be cheapest allowing to spend mor

The A9 and A9ii are pro level sony camera with balaned for action stills. They have much higher frames per second that the A73 through A7r5 which are all 10 frames a second. The A9 bodies have lower Megapixel counts than A74 or A1. An A9ii is a little heavier and a little more rugged and whether sea

What cameras are most comparable to the Nikon Z8?

If you’re doing strictly bird/animal photography you may want to check out om systems. Micro 4/3 sensor with 20mp so lenses are smaller and easier to pack and travel with and their focus tracking on birds is excellent. Not as many mp so you can’t crop as much but a 400mm is about equal to a 800mm on

Which do you think is currently the best camera for photography (not video) in the $2000-3000 range?

Gonna suggest a used Sony a9 or a9ii. No blackout, tremendous speed, incredible AF at a reasonable price used. Money left over for lenses and better than most cameras in a lot of ways.
