soda changes streaming forever ($11k camera)

I remember Asmongold upgrading to Sony A7 III (a model for photographers), on recommendation from Reckful, who was into photography. Then Asmon had to deal with the camera overheating and shutting down mid stream for like 3 years, because that camera was never meant to be running 24/7 as webcam. It

Zve10 vs A7iii. A7iii has poor AF and colors lil zve10 had lot better AF and colors. Any firmware updates or anything that fixes it ?

Looks like you’re using the kit lens with the a7iii which will leave you pretty unsatisfied imo. Once I got my Sigma 85mm 1.4, I realized the body was never the issue, the glass is.

Micro Four Thirds is "just getting killed" - Peter Jeune, on Petapixel Podcast 12/06/2025

I actually listened to that, and I think the interview is really thought-provoking. Sony has "just done such a good job at telling the full-frame story" It’s true—Sony really pioneered the push to democratize full-frame with the A7 III. They were so good at convincing the general audience that full-

A6000 for Video

A6k uses the wrong method to record video. Instead of oversampling, which is what nearly every other hybrid camera's doing, it skips lines. That means that it doesn't use the whole sensor for it. Consequently the quality isn't better than from a phone. There are issues with noise, aliasing, moire an

Issues with 50m 1.4 pro communication with Sony a7r3. Support unhelpful.

Just my honest opinion: I posted about an issue I had, got a DM within five minutes asking for my email address, and received an email with new beta firmware to try just half an hour later. That’s excellent customer service. And i later learned that is not even just the viltrox adapter that i acting

Cooling fan for a7iii

You can very easily remove the recording limit (and any language limits) from the A7III now. Best YouTube video about this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHlFo8UUB8g Step by step on GitHub: https://github.com/ma1co/Sony-PMCA-RE/issues/513 When I unlocked the languages on my Japanese market ZV-E1 I

Blackmagic Camera Reliability

Do you know of a camera brand that is super reliable that you’re using as a standard? Cause all of my cameras I’ve used have had some bugs or needed repairs at some point or another. My Sony a7iii needed a new shutter before 100k shots. I’ve heard of red cameras having bugs and crashes too

"Nikon → Sony → Leica. I just tried to swap the Leica back for a Nikon. Here's why

What a coincidence! The same thing happened to me, but in the opposite direction. I started with a small Leica D‑Lux 8 because I thought the smaller the better, easier to carry. I even wandered around the Gobi Desert for years taking photos and not a single speck of dust got onto the sensor. When I

Auto White Balance Lock

Makes it borderline useless tbh, I went a6400>a7iii and it feels like a downgrade, especially with the comically bad ibis, and the niyien senseflow gyro gadget is totally unreliable with zoom lenses. Really bummed out about this 'upgrade', might have to save up and sell this, get an a7iv instead.
