Micro Four Thirds is "just getting killed" - Peter Jeune, on Petapixel Podcast 12/06/2025

I actually listened to that, and I think the interview is really thought-provoking. Sony has "just done such a good job at telling the full-frame story" It’s true—Sony really pioneered the push to democratize full-frame with the A7 III. They were so good at convincing the general audience that full-

Sigma 17-40 f/1.8 for Canon R7?

Yeah the a7iii isn't the ideal Sony budget camera, but the 28-75 G2 is cheaper on Sony right now, and it's better to have two options than one. I think the biggest point is, if you think you might want the 17-40, it's worth taking a break and making sure you're making the best choice, because it is

Issues with 50m 1.4 pro communication with Sony a7r3. Support unhelpful.

Just my honest opinion: I posted about an issue I had, got a DM within five minutes asking for my email address, and received an email with new beta firmware to try just half an hour later. That’s excellent customer service. And i later learned that is not even just the viltrox adapter that i acting

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! May 08, 2026

I have a budget of around $600-$700. What about your lens budget? Nature, Architecture, Street, and Portraits. I care more about the final "look" and resolution of the image than I do about video or high-speed sports. Nature is a really broad term that could include many different types of photograp

Sony vs Canon in 35-50-85mm f1.8/2 ?

I assume you read that anywhere but you didn´t test it in your camera. I tested this in my A7III a long time ago (I will comment the AF-S function, because the AF-C one is more complex). I tested Sony/Sigma primes and Sigma/Tamron zooms, and they never focuses with the set aperture. They focuses alw

Which camera should I buy for wedding photos?

Ger an a6400 and use the difference on a decent lens. 150-200 isn't really an adequate lens budget for a camera like the A7 III. MAYBE you can do something like an A7 III + kit lens (which you can find in your budget) and pair it with a cheap prime like the Tamron 35 f/2.8 but that lens, while fanta

Confused about what lens to buy

Wow thank you for your feedback about the tamron 150-500. I might invest in one further along the way, my boyfriend surfs a lot and he is opening a surf school. I have an old manual Sony 210 mm lens and is alright, but deff not the sharpest or fastest for action sports, nor does it fit my new Sony A

What camera should I get? A7iii or Canon r6 mk2.

Nikon Z5ii or Z6iii can adapt all the Sony glass. Access to a ge Nikon glass.. it’s a far better camera than the A7iii. And the comparable body to the canon. The canon glass is over priced and not worth it when Nikon glass is cheaper and better in the pro glass line up.
