Can Sony Ever Feel Like Fuji?
I think most of this is purely the aesthetics of the camera. Fuji cameras & the retro looks are just sexier right now, esp the 100vi. There is nothing sexy about the a6700 or the a7v. The a7c series with the steel accent is the closest. I feel that if you can improve the aesthetics of the camera and

Is it still one of the best? Any newer alternatives?
RX100vii is still the most capable as of Spring 26. Best? Not easily answered. Ergonomically, it is a difficult camera to use - the APS-C (Sony, Fuji) are much better ergonomically and photo quality is similar. Price on the RX100, even used is ridiculous. No weather sealing. The viewfinder is barely

Can Sony Ever Feel Like Fuji?
One thing that can bring you closer to the Fuji experience: use a lens with an aperture ring. That frees up the front and rear dials to be dedicated to shutter speed and ISO, which feels much more natural. That said, I made the jump from the XT3 to XT4 to XT5 and ultimately landed on the a6700, and

APS-C for macro?
I'll start this off by clarifying I only have experience with Sony & Olympus / OM systems. I've tried to use the Sony A6700 and the Sony 90mm for handheld insect macro photography and eventually gave up. The sensor readout time and buffer were too slow for my style of photography. I ended up going w

OM-3 or A6700 for travel?
Out of these 2 I'd go for A6700. It's more compact, and it's got ergonomics that was not outdated 50 years ago. If it was me choosing I'd go for OM-5 with 12-45 if size really mattered or OM-1 with 12-40 if I could "afford" a little bigger and heavier setup.

OM-3 or A6700 for travel?
Don't let glasses or EVF placement dissuade you from using the EVF. With either camera just get an add-on rubber eye cup and adjust the diopter for viewing through your glasses. The worst you'll deal with is a little nose tip smudge on your back display. EVFs exist for a reason. As for which camera,

Can Sony Ever Feel Like Fuji?
I was debating between the Sony a6700 and Fuji X-e5 for months, that's why I followed this sub. I noticed a difference in photos being shared on reddit and facebook groups by people using those cameras. I don't know why but the photos shared by Fuji users are more interesting and more relatable. I t

Will the sony 200-600 work well with the a6000?
Yes works fantastically well with any of the a6 series. Assuming you’re using this for wildlife, the biggest benefit you’d get by upgrading camera bodies is super sticky animal or bird eye af. Don’t listen to everyone that says upgrade body first. Glass is far more important than body with modern ca

Sony is slowly improving the ergonomics of its cameras, but it’s still not enough | I own and use Sony cameras all the time, but I’m perpetually blown away by how much nicer it is to hold a Canon or Nikon
I shot m43 for 10 years and now I shoot an A6700. The m43 cameras are more fun to use, but they have lost a lot of the compact market recently. The only thing that makes sense are kit lenses, the super tiny f1.7/1.8 primes and super teles. Faster primes, zooms and slower teles are smaller and better

Lumix still an underdog?
I tried a Sony a6700, hated the UI compared to my Lumix.
